We were last on our land in July and have only ever seen it in the summer where everything was so dry and overgrown, what's going to have happened to our land after all the rain they have had on the peninsular? We're excited about seeing it again but also pretty worried about what we might find!

Always let a beard grow in fully before you decide if you really like it or not. Because there's a big difference from stubble to a full beard. Give it a chance to get there first! Don't worry my husband has a beard and when it is partially grey it looks scrubby coming in, but once it is established it looks quite dignified. Plus he loves not shaving;). So don't give up on it yet. Great video as always.

It will be interesting to see where the water has run on your land. You'll be able to see where you need to build swales to stop the water running off your land. Holding water up so it soaks into the top and subsoil is important to help grow things during prolonged dry spells.

I have been a beard man myself for about 34 years. Love it. Long sometimes in the winter, or Viking style (short on sides, long in front). Shorter in summer, or whenever I feel like an easier go of it. The only way for men to go, bearded.

To help stop leaving things behind you need a check list on one of the windscreen visors? When we had a MH we always did a quick check to make sure all the important things had been batoned down or stowed. Saved us several times from driving away with skylights left open, electric cable unstowed etc.

I went camping years ago and my mate had left his trainers on the roof of his car. As he drove off the campsite we spotted it too late. He was off into town around the hairpin bands and hills or Newquay for an hour or so before he returned to the site. They were still there!

I can imagine how nice it felt getting back and to be facing nice weather again. Looking forward to seeing how the land lies - literally(!) at your place in Portugal. Re the beard; keep it but don’t go full bushy. Perhaps another week’s growth and then keep it short and more designer. The David Bellamy look is so last century 😂😂😂 It’s time to begin shaping it too. Sharpen the upper cheek line and shave below an imaginary line from each ear, under your jaw-line, to above the notch on your Adam’s apple. It’ll look great!
