Beautiful presentation of Tokyo taste. Abyss of charm, wonder, fantasy and artistic strata in the actual real space. Amicable cultural gem that not many people in the other side of world can experience unless you really go there and spend some time. Many thanks.

I heard your French heart was beating at that bakery. Nakameguro has a very cozy atmosphere. I used to live around there a long time ago. Just nice town to escape from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya.

Favourite cafe was Onibus ( play of words with omnibus and oni, the Japanese folklore creature? wonder if they got tired yet of westeners asking what happened to the m... 😏), interesting architecture and use of space, outside and upstairs, plus of course the fascinating train traffic. It hit me watching this vlog that your colourful watercolours remind me of Florent Chavouet's work ( _love_ his Manabeshima island one), wonder if he's one of your sources of inspiration. Obrigado
@storiesofmilo6 ай бұрын
Onibus was a close second for me!! ❤️🚃 I didn't wonder about the "m" because "onibus" does work in Portuguese! 😂 (ônibus in that case! A bus 🇧🇷) WOW! I just googled Florent Chavouet... Amazing!! I didn't know about him! But that's exactly what I love 😍 Thank you so much for sharing it with me! It looks like he really knows how to paint a Japanese summer... 🥺🍉☀️

Hey Milo 👋Thanks for sharing your experience in this solo trip. Your vlogs and way of travel inspired me to finally schedule a solo trip to Japan 🙇 Nakameguro seems so nice and calm, would you recommend staying there during a 4-day visit to Tokyo? I'm planning my trip and would like to stay in a more calm neighbourhood. And I'll try to add another stick to that Brazil map 😄 🗺
@storiesofmilo6 ай бұрын
Omg this is awesome!!! ❤️ I am so glad you're making it happen!! ☺️ This is going to be such a wonderful trip! 🥳 If you're looking for a quiet neighborhood, I totally recommend Nakameguro! Something I do when I plan a trip (and I recommend to all travelers!) is to use the "pins" function of your Google Maps account: pin all the places you'd like to visit during your stay (cafés, museums, palaces, restaurants...)! At some point (and if you're lucky!), the neighborhoods you should stay in will appear on the map... For you to minimize commute! 💪 I did this for Tokyo and Kyoto, and I was always very happy with my choices of accomodation because it was always very practical to follow my travel plans! Are you living in Brazil right now?? 😍 send me a pic of the 🗺 book when you'll go to the café please!!
@ep3ar6 ай бұрын
@@storiesofmilo Will do! 💪 And thank you so much for the tip! I already have lots of pins (many from your recommendations 🙏), but never took the time to check how they are grouped 😅
Hello, milo-san. Onibus Coffee, flour+water, Meguro River, Under the Mat and Ghibli movies, these are all milo-san. Are there any other connections like this? Is there anything similar in the world? milo-san was found in Japan. See you in the next blog.☕🥐📬

I stayed in the Shinagawa Prince Annex when I was back in Tokyo in March. As many times as I have stayed there I have never watched a movie at the IMAX. 🤷♂

No worries, there's so much to do in Tokyo, going to the movie theater is probably not a must 😅 but it was really cool that day because it was apparently "the last Miyazaki movie" 😂

What a delightful vlog, thank you for always showing such little treats!! Picking one cafe is definitely hard, I wanna say Flower & water just coz the food selection seemed so yummy but both the others two were also super interesting!! How did you find Miyazaki's movie? It was a tad confusing even in my own language the first time I watched it, I can only imagine what an experience it must have been in Japanese ahah. Also, amazing view from the hotel rooftop/deck, may I ask the name of the hotel (in case one day I'm ever so lucky to actually get a chance to travel to Japan 😅). As always thanks for sharing 💖
@storiesofmilo6 ай бұрын
I am glad you liked it!! ❤️☺️ I loved Flower + Water too, the price was great for the quality and quantity they offered! I was so confused too! Worst thing is, after watching it, I started to google about it to find movie analysis... but there was nothing yet! (as it had only been released in Japan and in Japanese 😭) I had to wait a few weeks before reading more about it and understanding more of the symbolism... 😂 The hotel is APA Hotel Shinagawa Sengakuji-Ekimae! APA is a chain in Japan that's very affordable! ☺️

Yayyy, I see you liked the second one best 🥐🤓 Indeed! I did think there were a few metaphors I couldn't grasp... The frustrating thing is, when I finished watching it, I went on the Internet/Reddit/Forums to find some answers and try to read what smarter people had to say about it... But there was nothing yet! 😂 The movie had only been out in Japan, in Japanese at that time 😭 I had to wait a few weeks to read some movie analysis 😅

Under the Mat but I could spend a whole day in any of them and be happy. How was the croissant compare to the real ones in a boulangerie in France? The last time I was in Paris, I gave my self a challenge to eat as many pain au chocolat as possible in a day. I tapped out at 6 but I continued the next day.
@storiesofmilo6 ай бұрын
SIX pain of chocolats!! 😂 ❤️ You're a true French now! They should have given you a French passport just for that! 🇫🇷🥐 I agree, all the cafés were wonderful ☺️ The croissant was good! I was honestly pleasantly surprised by everything I tasted in Japan that was from another culture... French croissants or Italian pasta, they really know how to replicate these! 😍 OK, I'm craving a pain au chocolat now...
