Back on 74 is by a UK music collective called Jungle, & this song was released a little over 6 months ago. The middle rap section was created by Ren & the arrangement of the song mashed up with Message In A Bottle was by Ren as well. I highly recommend you watch Ren's candet interview on 'The Zach Sang Show" here on YT, especially if you'd like a more complete picture of Ren & gain an even greater appreciation for his art & the struggles he's overcome. Great reaction 👍

Nice reaction guys 👍 Ren is unique in the fact that you cant pin him to one particular genre. His love of music is what kept him going through the bad times and it's what has made him into the huge talent we see now. ❤

Back on 74 is a song by the group Jungle. Ren felt that to change it's original tempo by slowing it down very slightly it would gel very well with Message in a Bottle and I believe he was dead right. The girls are Sylvia Mwenze and Scarlett Fae who both come from Brighton in the UK where Ren also lives and he has known them both for some time, (but he actually comes from a small village called Dwyran on the island of Angelsey in Wales UK) To my mind the best bar in the rap section is- "Wax strip groove Doesn't stay still When I make that move" Extremely cheeky, but isn't that Ren all over?? Anyway guys, great reaction and thoughts and I've decided to sub, so first I'll have to check out the other Ren songs you mentioned that you have already reacted to. Keep up the great work. Respect from this 70yr old Scotsman (in Scotland).

Sting is from my hometown, Newcastle-upon-Tyne (Wallsend if we're being precise). He moved to London to form the Police. Ren is from Wales originally but moved to Brighton.

"Animal Flow" had many elements of George Orwell's "Animal Farm" - including the 7 commandments written on the wall at the beginning of the video - but presented in the style of Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange." You may have found it disturbing because both are dystopian. (Ren is extremely intelligent & well-read.) Don't forget that he's been through over a decade of horrible & unrelenting illness. Wait til you hear "Masochist" & really hear his rage & pain.

It's Ren who is Welsh originally now lives in Brighton I think the other artists all come or live in Brighton the Birth place of my father , Ren finds these people who IMHO are some of the best people musically and puts them in his videos for our enjoyment then we go off and learn more about their music this rabbit hole has warrens and barrows off in all directions and it never fails to lead to good places . Also remember nobody on this video was alive in 74 just about maybe 1990 but for the feeling of the music spot on . Ren knows his craft and that's why his fan base is growing as more discover his wide musical abilities . oh and btw I maybe corrected but sting was a northerner from Tyneside (I think) .

Nice reaction. My first vid of yours, and I appreciate your thoughts. It's fine if you don't like a song or video, but I would like to clarify that the imagery in "Animal Flow" was not about shock, though it's understandable if it made you uncomfortable. The song and the video emphasizes Orwellian philosophy aka watch your leaders carefully, especially the rebels who become rulers. Power corrupts. The whole song is The Cannibal King telling you that he's a murderous tyrant. What's implied and very George Orwell (esp Animal Farm & 1984) is that the masses (you & me) aren't going to do anything about it. My favorite part is when the (German) Shepherd leads the leashed lamb passively down the stairs - perhaps to slaughter - while singing about eating your flesh (yum-yum-yum-yum). It's just like the overall faith we have in our politicians (shepherds) to lead us to care and safety when they might not have our best interests at heart. More importantly is the leader above them and to heed the Orwellian warning of listening to their words and intentions - especially the leader who takes the place of an illegitimate ruler. New and different isn't always better. It's very hard to let go of one's hope, especially when the alternative doesn't look all that great. So, be wary when the Cannibal King wages war on the capital. Listen when he says, "Show no mercy under my rule / I won't be kind, I will be cruel / Drown all my foes in a paddling pool / Yes, I'm tyrannical bro, so." It’s easy to overlook how power can corrupt those who start with good intentions.

I'm not subscribed to your channel, (i will now)but that doesn't make any difference, there is something wrong when youtube seems to be forcing people to certain reactors, hey. thanks for the time guys...peace...Oh rain rain rain..rain
