You should GO and RACE in the first event. If everyone waited to race until they felt their very best and at the top of their fitness, very few would participate. Everyone has issues but still give it their best shot for the moment. Let's GO! Poor Sam in the background looking a little forgotten and left out lol.
@tonypaddler9 ай бұрын
AGREED! 👍 Edit; I should have expanded on my take on it. I mean if you're feeling almost recovered then why not do a race at a much lower pace, for the social aspect of it? I used to do that when I raced but never did it if the illness was in my chest, I'd not risk my long term health in that way. Head colds are horrible to ride with but don't affect long term health. I guess it's all down to what you want from a race, I was quite happy just bimbling with drippy snot rockets!
@bradfordzone51879 ай бұрын
Totally disagree. No point ruining the whole season by making yourself race after illness. Concentrate on building back fitness at a pace that helps the immune system.
@JulietElliottsChannel9 ай бұрын
Absolutely rubbish, I’m sorry but this is bad advice. It’s not about wanting to be on top of my fitness, it’s about valuing and protecting my long term health above doing a race.

These numbskulls in charge seem to view everything to do with cycling as an afterthought, so they can write on their blogs that they are "pro-cycling", with little or no consultation with actual users. Roads through forests can be devastating for the environment, if that is what they are trying to address. Why can't people use their tiny little brains once in a while?
