Hmm, I had more wheats than that in just 1 box in my last penny hunt. Anyhow... It's been probably close to 10 years since I hunted dollar coins, so I thought I'd do something different and look for some NIFCs. Grabbed 10 rolls and here is what I found: - Susan B Anthony 1979 S Proof - not much cameo left, but still in great condition otherwise - Native American: Trade Routes in the 17th Century - not a NIFC, but this is the 1st time I've come across one - Presidential dollars (2012-2016 NIFCs): McKinley, Cleveland (2nd term), Kennedy, Reagan, Eisenhower, Roosevelt, and Hoover - "Heads I win, tails you lose" dollar-size token, though it's quite a bit thinner - 2018 Canadian dollar

That 1951S was a beauty! I bought $10 worth of pennies yesterday and found 51 wheats including a 1924S.

That was only the second 1924S I ever found and the first one was 32 years ago. I also have a bad condition one some kids traded me in elementary school but they found it in circulation not me.

We don’t get too many old S coins up here in the Northeast. Surprised I don’t have more 24S’s because they’re only worth two dollars max in worn condition, which is how you’re going to get them circulation. The latest one was the best condition one I’ve gotten. The 24S was in a whole roll of solid wheat pennies I got in $10 worth of pennies. The other 19 rolls only had one wheat cent. Somebody wrote “one centers” on the wheat roll. I haven’t got a whole roll of wheats for a while. I thought this bunch of coins was going to be a bust because I didn’t find it until the 17th roll.

CoinsTV GOLDEN STATE HOARD SALE / and after watching a previous youtube video by thecoinchanneltube (RELATED? I don't know. seems it could be.) Hhmmm. Does have link and upbeat about purchase recommendation also. Hhmmmm. Sold as UNSEARCHED (and I knew better I guess, but, handicap and can't drive - stuck in my desk chair and LCS is an expensive taxi ride. Great hobby for me. People, and bank, are nice about getting bank boxes. Ordered when I hadn't had access to bank for a while, got itchy! LOL 10 rolls in 3 shipments over 3 weeks to hope for a good mix (3,5, then 2 rolls) Total cost over $200. 500 coins searched - 17 wheats older than 1942 - average condition is better in my bank box searchs - much better. Nothing worth over a nickel if that. total mumismatic value/offer from LCS - $15 and a fair offer actually. (about $19 in copper wieght) Have about 200 lbs of copper and memorial here now from box searchs rotating through. Know a bit about what I have in front of me. Will keep this copper as just a stack, BUT a a hell of a loss and lesson. AND a visible example to others. CoinsTV not replying to email for questions - stay away from anything to do with this group, far FAR away. Others are appearing with very similar experiences. These words are MY OPINION ONLY. Big hit to my monthly SS. This hurts our community and chases people off from collecting - They say they had several million coins, unsearched, and must have sold thousands of rolls it looks like. COMMENTS appreciated - but I already know how stupid I was. SO searched I feal robbed not scamed.

You got over 5 lbs copper cents? That's very rich. 5 lbs = 5 x 454 gms = 2270 gms / 3.11 gms ea = 730 cents in 5000 coins and 12 more in your 1.5 lbs. 5000 cents / 742 = almost 15% copper. Copper cents stopped being 9% about 5 years ago around here (SF Bay area) and are now closer to 6-7%. Nice!

Out of curiosity, do you ever find any 1973s memorial cents in your roll hunting? I've been a casual collector for over 50 years and that is the only memorial cent I have not found in the thousands of cents I have searched. I have several now, but only because I got aggravated and broke down and bought them.

Not if you want them to be worth money even if pcgs or ngc “restores” them they will put cleaned on the label and it kills the value of the coin from what I’ve heard and read.

Sorry to say this, but I don’t believe your coin is an error. Often times when they roll up the coins, the machine that wraps them will damage the coin leaving those rings you’re seeing. I encourage you to keep looking though! You never know what you will find.
