@@ryanpeeblesdpt how can do your program ? I have knee arthritis and cannot get on the floor? Will being on a massage table doing your excercises work for me ?
@CoreBalance
@CoreBalance Жыл бұрын
Hi there! I'm glad you reached out. The program can be started on a massage table, and the more firm the better. As you build deep core strength and muscular balance, your knees should actually start to feel better and the goal will be to work towards getting up and down from the floor. You will want to complete an assessment to see if you are a good fit for the program here: www.corebalancetraining.com/program Thanks for asking!

I think it does…. But at this point I know full well I fucked my back through smoking. And I have to quit 😢 it probably just shows up existing problems much much worse but it def weakens the discs, causes huge inflammation, effects healing.

This makes so much sense. I've been dealing with chronic pain off and on for 3 years (I'm only 35). It started in my legs which I found out was from a pinched nerve in my low back, and it has slowly turned into low back pain as well. I've spent so much money on chiropractor visits, massages, and I've done 2 rounds of physical therapy since then. Not to mention a ton of pain killers and muscle relaxers. I will feel better for a few weeks and then have a set back and the cycle continues. I need to focus on the other 97% of my day.

Thanks for sharing, Elly. This is a journey to which many of us can relate. Since you mentioned a pinched nerve in your back, I wanted to share with you that I'll be doing a live stream on the topic of sciatica today at 12pm PST (and a different topic every Wednesday). Feel free to join!

Love this content, thank you. From my own research it feels like there’s gray area when there’s nerve issues/neurological deficits caused by low back situations. For instance, would someone with foot drop, potentially being caused by nerve impingement in the spine (based on clinical presentation and MRI), be a good candidate for core balance training? I guess I fear that even if I were to focus on the muscular imbalance, it still wouldn’t resolve the nerve issue.

Ms Ve, it seems like you are experiencing the same thing that I suffered from for many years: a full body imbalance. The knees and hips are intimately connected to the muscle imbalances that cause lower back pain. Many students report improvements in knee and hip pain from restoring balance in these very same muscles, and I would encourage you to look further into this!

I'm a 19 year old guy with no family history of scoliosis and I can't even sit properly anymore because my lower back/lumbar feels bent and very tight on the left side, extremely uncomfortable to sit without leaning to one side. No injuries or trauma to the back. I believe it started from slouching/leaning to one side while sitting for prolonged periods. Any idea what it may be? And how can I address this with exercises? I experience intense lower back pain when lying down on my back but no leg pain

I’m 2 mo. into program & have difficulty focusing so I can require my patterns. I remember to maintain my core connection for periods of the day but other times it’s totally forgotten. Will there be a point that my body will be “retrained” & it won’t be such a mental exercise?
@CoreBalance
@CoreBalance Жыл бұрын
GREAT question, Sherri. You can absolutely get to the point where the core connection becomes engrained into your natural movement. The patterns take a long time to become your default movement pattern, and I would estimate that most students can accomplish this within 6 months to a year if persistent. This can feel like a daunting task, but I don't know if any shortcuts and it does get progressively easier as you go. It's repetition over time that causes patterns/habits to sink down into the subconscious, and I believe it's a worthy pursuit!

Its so hard when our body has to perform so hard for the money to pay everything, try to take more short breaks to allow yourself being more self aware, even if it has to be done in the washroom every hour, it sometimes helping to reduce working hours in the beginning or change jobs and increase when the core is getting stronger. 🍀🐞🍀🌻💐🌈

I have recurring back pain from 3 years. When I have pain, should i excercise after taking muscle relaxer or without medicine?
@CoreBalance
@CoreBalance 6 ай бұрын
Hi Alma, that's a really good question! Dr. Ryan would recommend waiting until after the effects have worn off, so that you can tune into your body. Engaging in the movements while on the muscle relaxant could potentially affect coordination and muscle function. I hope this is helpful!

Do you have anything for L5 sacralization type 2a? Thank you!
@CoreBalance
@CoreBalance Жыл бұрын
Hi there! L5 sacralization is absolutely within the umbrella of a movement dysfunction addressed in the course. Most spinal symptoms and injuries are the result of a cause that is far upstream of what you feel and see in MRIs, Xrays, etc. We address the imbalances underlying the vast majority of these chronic spine conditions and diagnoses. I would suggest giving the free trial a go, and see if it works for you!

It is definitely a program with a start and a finish. I think you may have some confusion. There are different meanings of the word program and it appears there may be a bit of a language barrier here. Either way, I’m sorry you didn’t find this helpful. The program has changed thousands of lives by now, for the better. And it was at the request of our students that we recently changed to a monthly membership.

My father broke his lower back in the military from parachuting when he was younger. Ever since he has been pretty overweight and drinks quite a bit. I wish he would address that stuff. I’m sure it was atleast alleviate some of his pain. But he says his back hurts because he broke it, not because he’s fat. I think he’s being willfully ignorant.

Yes it is highly likely that a muscle imbalance is causing your pelvis to tilt forward. This causes everything to shift forward and protrude outward (muscles included). Getting your pelvis to sit in a more neutral position can make drastic improvements in your pain and appearance!
