Had a 73 with a 351 Cleveland. Car was near mint. Purchased it in 1985 for $1200. Had it 3 years. Started working in 86 and needed better gas mileage since I was traveling and wanted something newer. Had 46,000 miles ran perfect. Traded it at a local dealer for a 79 Regal. He gave me $1500 for it on trade. I wasn't thinking anything about it being a classic, cars from the 70's were still common back then. I kept seeing the car a few months later in a parking lot of a bar not far away sometimes. I went in the bar. found the owner, told him that was my car and asked him what he paid for it. He said he got a great deal the dealer gave it to him for $6500 ! Blue Book already was $8500 for it in 1988 ! I never thought it was worth that much or even considered it was starting to be considered a "classic" back then, I just figured "it's a 13 year old car". Ran great, never had a problem with it, and not a scratch on it.

@@scottwright388 starsky and hutch was the show i think that had one am i right also do you know what the difference between the windsor and the cleveland motor
@scottwright3883 жыл бұрын
@@silverado15 yes, Starsky and Hutch was a Torino, but a different year. 40 years ago, the difference for me was the Cleveland was stronger and they were visually different as well.
