Bend with your hips you mean (knees are just bending pasive cause of hip flexion) if you don't want future knees problems. Hips mobility is the key! God bless! (I am a physical therapist)

Think this is tough? I fell off roof & hit butt first on concrete slab. It hurt, yes sir. Crushed T12 vertebra..think of stepping on beer can. Docs looked at it, “your lucky! No surgery required”. If it weren’t for the morphine I would have cried for joy. In 24 hours, sent home in a back brace from hell. Oh yeah, tore left knee MCL and PCL and hit so hard inguinal herniated. I was 65 and took awhile to get back. God was kind and has kept me in play a bit longer. You don’t have to look far to see someone in worse shape. Cheers

i see this is an older post but i have had agony in my tailbone for so long bc i worked at a hospital & one of the Dr’s asked me why are you always sitting on a donut or ice & i told him & he said well that’s crazy (i had been in a car accident & broke everything) i can remove your tailbone & no more pain & i was so excited i almost jumped up on my desk with a scalpel!! that was the day b4 9/11 & the agony i have is everyday all day & night i feels like the skin is pulled apart & there’s a rock or hammer that hits it nonstop all the surgeries together were nothing compared to that 59 min surgery i’ve had back, hip, femur, ankle, wrists & on there’s no pain like a tailbone & im wondering if i should ask my Dr if i’m a candidate for this surgery ~ i hope you are well & have zero pain anymore it’s a helluva thing getting older but Clint Eastwood said it don’t let the old man in speaking to Toby Keith’s question of how do you keep going & that was the answer & b4 Toby passed away that was the last song he wrote & played just b4 he passed 💔 God Bless

@@canbac4300 Thanks for post. I busted (but not broke) my tailbone years ago and boy it does hurt. Chiropractor fixed it. As to tailbone surgery, if you are in misery, what have you to loose? Everybody is different, but I found that exercise really helps as it strengthens muscles that then share the load. Swimming probably the best. Hope you get better. D

Did you ever have your procedure done on your back? Fractured my back in 6 places, told me they could only fix 5. Sounds great, I needed to do something, day of the procedure, everything happened just like they said in the video. Was not told, that I would have to lay flat on my back for 1 hour. Really wish they had said something. Because for me that’s impossible, Had to do it for a Liver biopsy. So I’m in recovery, and I hear somebody saying breathe Susan, Couldn’t understand why are they waking me up. Been operated on 7 times, always your recovery nurse watches you till you started waking up, they returned to me. Which makes me think something went wrong.Breathe again, I’m awake, I ask for my husband, to help me dress. No you can not move, if you do, you will ruin everything that the Dr. did it has to set and harden .makes sense, so why did you wake me up? Not even 1/2 way through I’m literally screaming, trying to explain. To them, I understand what will happen, but I can’t do this. What about something for the pain. Kidding right, that will take 30 minutes to work. I can’t, I’m going to throw up, she yells she may be getting sick, I kid you not, the Dr. never came and talked about how things went. Quite frankly, I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Came time to go back for my follow up. Blows my mind, how highly recommend this Dr. and the procedure . Not one bit of improvement. I know a woman that fell off her horse and she’s already back riding. Still thinking something not right. Had to get a CT scan. The report came back, that there is so much of the product/ cement, all over the place. For all I know the Cement could be sitting on a nerve or several nerves, I have no idea !Who ever read the CT scan, said it is losing Out all over the place, doesn’t know if it’s floating. I find that hard to believe it’s still losing. It’s hard as a rock, you would think now I don’t know what to do. I wish I could go to a chiropractor right now. my back is killing me. It’s Christmas Day 4 o’clock in the morning. One fall, I have my whole life. I fell backwards off of two steps in my laundry room. If anyone reads this and can help me I would really appreciate it. I didn't do this procedure because the Dr told it has no long term study for side effects and is meant for the elderly. It took over 2 years for my crushed vertebrae heal. I was too active and didn't take time off from work. Got a family to feed. If you want to heal, you need to immobilize yourself for 6 months. That means you only get up for necessary things. My vertebrae is almost flat now and I'm not in pain unless the weather changes drastically lol

I have 2 compression fractures of my back, bone spurs in the lower back, and I go see a dr today for a ct then right after that the neurologist to see if anything can be done, constant pain, and I go on vacation sep 2nd, so hopefully they can do something to fix this as the pain is constant to the point of I now have a home maker come to my place to help me clean...sad yes I know but I can barely bend over or walk without my eyes watering

I fell from 6 meters 2 months ago and I broke 5 vertabraes. My surgeon however didn't do any of these procedures but instead did a spinal fusion on the vertabraes surrounding the broken ones. I'm not gonna lie these kinds of procedures seem much better because they don't seem to remove the discs which is so much better. I'm not sure if they removed mine I have to ask but up until then I'm gonna assume they did remove them.

@@dealerspot Nerve compression don’t think so but there was definitive damage in my spinal cord that connects my brain with the my lower body where to fracture happened and due to that I have partly paralysed legs. Fortunately I can still walk but I do have issues with longer distances but I’m grateful that I’m not in a wheelchair as that was the expectation initially.

We did ours under general anesthesia. These patients are in pain from the compression fracture. We have to position you prone, so it's just easier on the patient with general anesthesia. These procedures can bring instant relief. They go home a couple of hours after surgery.

All I did was bend over to tie a trash bag together and felt like my spine snapped, the pain was crazy awful. Yesterday I had the verteplasty done and all today I only wanted to sleep. I also had muscle pain around my trunk, around my lower back and front, my hips too. I'm thinking that was caused by the length of time I was in my stomach for the the surgery, cause I'm never on my tummy that length of time. I still have pain but what I am most concerned about is that I have a fever now.

I fractured my L1 in a bad car accident years ago but i did not have those procedures done, stupid ER put me in a torso brace and sent me home with some shit anti inflammatory medication, didn't even give me painkillers. Needless to say it healed wrong and I've been living with chronic pain and posture problems for many years now. The real issue isn't so much the actual bone, that fused back together a long time ago, the problems are the destroyed discs above and below L1, the reduced height of the vertebrae causing the rest of them to overload on to one another, couple that with degenerative disc disease, facet joint arthritis, yeah a big fucking mess.

I can't help but wonder if I did this to myself as a kid, after I fell on my butt from a 16hh horse. It had sharp pain for months. And for some reason, I never whent to the doctor. Didn't cross my mind. Then again, I had severe carpal tunnel for 3 years, and never told my parents. I'd cry myself to sleep every night.
