I have been playing bad golf for a couple of months - so I took two weeks off playing to study what I was doing wrong - I landed on your series "back to basics" and I cant explain enough how amazing you break down the key elements - I have summarized your points and the plan to go through them thoroughly before I touch a club again - and when I do I will start with getting my game right in the exact same order as your series and then get back to the course to play a round of golf - kudos Chris - Hope to meet you one day

Hi Chris, is is possible you can do a similar video but with wet claggy sand, I as others really struggle with sand in bunkers on less top notch courses. Loved the series, thanks and keep them coming.

Really like your thoroughness on your bunker tips. Working at improving with that open face is challenging, but I'm determined. Going to use an alignment rod as you suggest. Knowing where the club enters and exists is definitely going to help me build my consistency. Thank you Chris.

Hi Chris, as a left handed golfer, it is very helpful when you describe your tips with "us" in mind. For example "shifting weight from the back leg to the front" verses, from your right leg to your left etc... Thanks, your tips are very helpful!

Chris is the best KZbin golf teacher. I picked up the game of golf quite well. Probably I have good sport mind and without Chris vids lessons I wouldn't able to improve so quick. Unfortunately I can't afford for lessons, I can see he don't mind help out golfers by sharing his techni. So why do people subscribe to another channel been signed with Titleist. Instead subscribe here, if your still struggling in your game. Then take lessons from this man. Wake up golfers techni wins over any yours $600 driver.

Another good vlog, I like the level of detail you go into. However, sadly our club for around 9-10 months of the year entering the sand so far behind the ball won't work as the sand isn't soft and fluffy like yours. Frequently our sand feels more like hitting from a path as it is so solid re quality of sand used and wetness.
@BrandonGoose
@BrandonGoose 6 жыл бұрын
Jack Tate its pritty much same technique, just different lofted club,hard bunkers you need a lob wedge with a lower bounce,sand wedge with higher bounce for the soft bunkers
@mctayto1
@mctayto1 6 жыл бұрын
I didn't suggest for a second that the technique was different simply the point of entry into the sand changes with the quality/firmness of sand. Greenside bunkers are strength of mine simply because I have spent so much time in them :( needless to say I am trying to change that.

Really appreciate the content and the detail. It's helping me to understand the technique. On your last shot you hit it right of where you were aiming, that got me thinking about why it did that. Could you do a series of videos where you hit shots that end up not as expected and an analysis of why. It would help me to understand and correct poor shots.

In the first set of bunker shots you are hitting the sand a lot nearer to the ball than you described at the beginning. Personally I feel that hitting the sand 3-4 inches before the ball with the club face that far open means the ball would not reach that flag

My pro teaches a neutral (ie chipping) club position but three lessons later I''m still no nearer to getting the ball out that way so I guess I'll try this method, I may as well as nothing else works for me. Currently losing loads of shots through having to lay up short of greens all the time.

Hi Chris. I hope this is not a dumb question, but I noticed that the sand you are in is pretty nice and light. Where I play, they use heavier and more course-type sand, especially when it is wet. Would this change the technique of the swing or mean more acceleration?
