Josh, I watched one of your videos about a year ago and commented about not understanding half of what I was seeing and listening to regarding your flying. I mentioned that I looked forward to learning and using your videos to connect the dots. Here I am almost complete with my PPL and it's truly amazing the difference in now watching this and understanding all of the checks, radio communications, etc. What a great feeling to see it all come together as a shared understanding. Thanks for the post.

That was a cool plane you parked next to. That’s for sharing your time. I can’t fly, because of health issues. I have been told not to even drive up to the mountains here, because of my lymphedema, my feet and legs would swell up and I would need something to apply more pressure or squeeze my legs, because of the altitude change.

Hey Josh, I caught that you have your airspeed indicator marked with what looks like the CMMS. Did you get that from FlightChops? I had just gone back and re-watched the episode where they discussed the Minimum Maneuvering Speed, and I actually calculated it for the rental that I normally fly even though it has a glass panel so I can put that number in my head along with the best glide in case of engine failure. Oh and yes P'cola is one beautiful Sunday flight! Thanks for the great content and inspiration you provide.

Regarding your pre-take off pax briefing... When was the last time you actually practiced an engine failure on take off [at 1K']? Try turning back to the airport at 1K'... It takes me about 1600'-1700' (with no wind), call it 1800' with response time factored-in, in a comparable aircraft before I can actually make it back [even close] to the runway. With your following (and experience) that could be good info for your viewership... Just food for thought.

The airport names thing always confused me. In Alaska, all the airports are labeled correctly, but I was just next door to you in Louisiana last month ferrying a plane up to Alaska, and I wasn't sure on some of the airports. The names on the sectional were often some long winded or unpronounceable name. Either way, I got it done, but I thought it was cool that you mentioned something in the video that I was just thinking about. Keep making great content.
