Buy something affordable is what's most important. You can play almost anything on both electric and acoustic. I've been learning seiji's songs myself and they're addicting to practice.

If you want to learn fast and more efficiently i think it's better if you take guitar lessons with a guitar tutor. If you're not in a rush or don't have money for guitar lessons, there are a lot of tutorials here on KZbin. The way i learned was by copying tabs and learning songs that i like, and i learned a lot of guitar techniques on my own (though it took me about 2-3 to be decent)
