I must say Chateau Lagorce is simply magnificent and the grounds are beautiful. Edd is so gifted with his ability to do so many things. He’s energy is amazing! I’m excited to see the finished results. I already know it will be amazing, Edd does fabulous work. I don’t think Edd ever does anything “simple”. Anna, you’re a perfect match for each other!

Chateau Lagorce is a beautiful property and all your outside designs so far have enhanced it even more Ed. I remember when you put in the white pathways on the lower level and they look so impressive, especially from the upper levels looking down on it. I’m sure this shade area will be much used in the heat of the summer.👏🏊‍♀️⛱🥰

What about making the roof tallest all across the front of the area and drop down over the back. Perhaps even turning the bar the other direction so you could add stools in front; as I think the area might already be too small for a patio set. Maybe locate what you want first to make sure the structure will be large enough. Then finally to help make it look more as if it has always been tfere consider running it all the way to the other end of the pool to provide shade all along the back wall. Then possibly put large planters to grow roses or olive trees to add color and life to the area. If your adding water to your sink it would be easy to install drip so there's not work to maintain them.Just a girl with to many idea's. Good luck.

I guess everyone else knew there were 2 pools on this property. You can read the rest of this or not. I thought this was the pool down the long staircase not the “NEW TO ME ONE” at the back of the chateau. I was totally confused. I’m thinking 3 meters isn’t enough space since you have the wood make it as wide as your area. There are always 3 people who want to do something behind the bar if one does. We built our inside bar not deep enough for a passing lane and as the kids got bigger it became a right disaster. 8 kids at a party 4 wanted to be at the bar getting snacks, drinks, washing hands-bedlam. Build it so that when your children or guest are using it they are comfortable back there. Is there going to be a fridge? Plan one, we finally got a full size because a small one was never enough for more than 3 people at the pool. Voice of experience.

Edd concrete a pipe just larger than the parasol support pole into the ground deeper than you would think but you must put the, down in any windy weather or nothing will save them.

Nice idea to have an outdoor kitchenette-bar area. Are you going to slope the shade roof at the same pitch as the end of the house (lower obviously) to keep the rainwater out of the pool? Ah, a forward slanted roof parallel to the short wall sounds like the logical solution. Any chance of placing a built-in barbecue grill? Have you been looking for some property for your dream chateau build?

Idea. Leave that beautiful piece of wood whole. Put the small sink below the wood counter and mostly out of site and easy to access.

You may want to make the work top an island so it’s easier to get around. If attached to the wall you have to go from the wall all the way out and around the peninsula instead of just around the end if an island.
