The craziest thing is how he makes everything look so easy. I remember when I watched View from a Blue Moon in 2016, I thought the same thing - he was like this superhero, effortlessly flying around on these huge, scary waves. I surfed for the first time the same week and was disappointed to find out that I could not, in fact, fly like John could. Still, I am always stoked when I feel myself progressing... little victories, right? Anyway, thanks for introducing me to the greatest thing I've ever experienced, John. You're my hero!!

Have been to the islands many many times starting in the 80’s, great surf trips and adventures. My point is I wish the wholesome vibe Jon Jon displays with him and brothers and mom had been the norm in the 80’s surf scene. Your whole family has been one of the most gracious unpretentious greatly needed addition to the “Island style of living that gave Hawaii such class in early days. Well done!
