This has to be the most informative and useful clip for surfers I've ever seen. I expect to be surfing life JJF by this arvo, latest

This is a 15 minute *marketing* video that delivers *real* value. Might replace my vibrams with vivos as a result...

You've gotta love how humble and self deprecating this guy is! Very rare these days.

Pretty amazing how instinctive John is, he understands a lot of theoritical concepts from listening to his body and feelings alone. No wonders he is one of the best ! Great video.

Absolute gem of a clip, especially as he is doing some stuff similar to what i'm doing although I'm no JJF and 55 , but it has worked wonders over the last few years. Great to have ones process somewhat affirmed. Thank you.

Been wearing Barefoot shoes for years and they absolutely help keep your feet active when not surfing, makes for a effortless transition.

My favorite surfer is also among the smartest. Who doesn't love John John, other than someone he's thrashing in a heat.

Great video! JJF is my fav surfer. Best surfer in the world but still so down to earth

This was brilliant. So helpful in many ways -- some stretches I haven't used but also love his idea of the short routines. It can mean you actually do it. To see the stretches combined with the surfing positions helped to make sense of it much better than having them separate. Very enjoyable to watch. John is so chill. It's amazing how much he's learned and you can see it in his surfing this year

Surfing and golf go together. Those stretching-movements are very similar to swinging aloft club. Possibly explains why Kelly Slater likes to play golf. Good stuff JJF🤙

Also found that little and often works well. I do longer stretching and mobility seasons to increase strength through motion, but day to day if I get those short sessions in especially my back pain disappears. I climb more than surf these days, but it’s equally applicable

Love using a mini massage gun and a roller. He's right about getting the legs stretched for the back. Stretching and massage is gold.
amazing info even any cheap massagegun with soft tip attachment will help

Gods. Enjoyed your surfing and sailing vids. However, this video is awful. Mislabeled entirely. Should be discussing range of motion vs surf movements. Not "How to move as an athlete". There is literally no insight on how to actually "move". Example: Define using your "core".
