Glad to hear Alesis is replacing everything, but man. Sucks to hear owners are having so many issues.

Sorry to hear you're having such problems, definitely sounds like you got a lemon. Glad to hear Alesis is at least going to handle it even though it may take some time. Have you tried the direct outs yet? Don't know if you have the means to do it but if you want volume I really recommend trying. I believe this is the way the kit should truly be used, I did it and this kit came alive. A world of difference is all I can say, it's a feature for some reason Alesis didn't really push in it's advertising.

I'm looking forward in buying the AD-H14 but I don't know if it'll work the Alesis strike module. Do you know if it would or should I go for a Roland Hi hat? Anyways, any opinion or advise will be welcome. Thank you so much, man!

I am very sorry for you, but one question? Why do you still keep it? I would not have as much patience as you.
@purpledc16 жыл бұрын
if your new kit arrives with the hi hat not working take a felt washer from a ride cymbal cup and place it on your spring assembly. I promise it will correct your hi hat problems. Alesis used too short of a spring and it doesn't put proper pressure on the hi hat controller. As for the volume issue. You really should watch the youtube music studio strike compression tutorial. You can increase the volume to ear bleed levels.

Keith jenkins is a liar. That video is mostly him playing drum covers and talking about how good he is and then tells everyone to demand alesis give them a second module for free.

Keith Jenkins, You are a liar, a troll and are just trying to get views on your channel. That video is nothing more than 7 minutes of you playing drum covers, ranting about how alesis sucks and how we should all complain to get a handout of a second module for free to run the stupid setup you are running. The solution I proposed works and is real advice. I'm not trying to capitalize off others misfortune and promote my shitty drumming channel shrowded as a 1.4 update video. Its clickbait and you know it. What a joke you are.

Hi Richard, sounds like you have a 'Friday afternoon kit' there! (someone rushed to finish it on a Friday so they could get away early...) I too am a Strike Pro owner. I'm on my second module (crackling through the headphone socket with the original), second hi-hat (just generally dreadful - and still is. I switched to a Roland VH11 cymbal and it's much better - though still not perfect) and last night, I dismantled the whole thing and boxed it up ready to go back to the supplier (after talking with Alesis technical people). The latest issue is, when playing with the band, specific frequencies/volumes interfere with the kit and cause the pads to show on the module as triggering. Not a great issue on its own, however, if they've been triggered by the rogue frequency, they don't sound when I play a note. The kick drum is most often affected - we're a covers band and play 'Come as You Are', Nirvana. The kick drum follows the bass line almost perfectly and the overall effect is like the drummer's drunk! Missed beats all over the place with band members looking at me as if I've lost the plot. The snare, all the toms and hi-hat is also affected - in fact probably every trigger is affected. Also, when playing on my own, if I play a steady beat (at say 120bpm) on the kick and mirror it on tom 3, the kick mis-triggers. Doing the same on tom 1,2 or 4, has no affect. If I repeat the process using tom 3 and tom 2, or 1, or 4, or the snare, each of those mis-trigger also. Obviously a problem with tom 3 which is affecting the other drums, as well as this issue of the whole kit picking up on the frequencies in the room when playing live. Anyway, it's going back to be tested and hopefully they'll just send a new one out that works properly. It's such a shame as the kit sounds superb - it just doesn't work properly and, at £2100 over here in the UK, it's a bloody expensive thing to not work!

Richard Neath Wow, that sounds incredibly frustrating. I haven’t tried my kit with a band yet - now I’m worried about having the same issue! I hope things get better and Alesis fixes your problems :)

Richard Neath hey mate, I’m looking to buy this kit, from all the issues you had back when you wrote this comment has anything changed? I also live in England, and was wondering if it’s worth purchasing this?

@@theblinddrummer2014 did you purchase it, like yourself am interested in buying one
@theblinddrummer20145 жыл бұрын
St Mawes messiah hey. Yeah I did purchase it. As much as I love it, the sounds are amazing, but i’m trying to sell it now, nothing wrong at all with it, it’s just the Module is hard to use for a Blind person, so I can’t change the settings in it like I wish I could.

Hello. How long have you had the kit before having problems with it?
@RichardNashIV6 жыл бұрын
Hi Ariel, I had problems with the kit pretty much when I received it. Certain problems were fixed with RMA, but the hi hat remains problematic for me.

I would be so mad if I paid that kind of money for something and had all these problems.
@RichardNashIV6 жыл бұрын
Katelyn Brokaw I am pretty upset, to be honest. I know it’s a lot cheaper than a similar Roland kit, but it’s still thousands of dollars. They advertise it as working so it should just work! I hope my case is not the norm, hopefully other people aren’t having as much trouble.

New Video Hi-Hat Setting Video kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmPdnaiifL18jJo ..... I am using 1.2 Hi-Hats coming through the Aux. I have found is the Alesis logo must sit at a 12 O'clock position pointed away from you. "ON THE BOTTOM" the hole your wires are coming through must sit between the 2 and 3 O'clock position faced up. You can also turn clockwise or counterclockwise until the triggers are reading itself with accuracy. If you have or order a second module, you must do a factory reset to erase 1.3. components stored on the top Hi-Hat.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles your kit. But I think you have a faulty kit in general. I got mine early January of this year and it was good straight out of the box after updating to the latest firmware. I posted videos on my channel of cover songs with the kit at default settings and recorded just the stereo outs to Reaper. I have tweaked my hi hats since then using Roberts advice kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5m9mWl4nZKJm7s . And I will be posting videos of this once I get the chance.
@RichardNashIV6 жыл бұрын
Hanz Solo I think you’re right, unfortunately. I was an early adopter - I bought the kit when it first hit the market. According to other people on groups/forums I’m a part of, it seems like there were a lot more faulty kits at the beginning. I’m hoping my new cymbals fix the issues!

Your Alesis tech guy is full of shit. Probably new. Alesis CLEARLY STATES, the Alesis logo should be away from you. Search Alesisvideo channel for "Alesis Strike Pro Kit - Setup and Trigger settings' at the 1:00 point he CELARLY states that there is a hot zone and you must index the cymbal properly. I have an Alesis kit and fought with a crap crash cymbal, the problem was the cable snake. Alesis sent me a new one and the crash has triggered 100% since then.
