The Alesis name should away from you. At the top where it can be read. Draw a straight line from the logo down to where you would use the cymbal. The sensors, among others under the layer, are there. The issue that I've had with my Alesis pro se module, and it looks like your module is that from time to time it freezes up and I have to turn it off and restart it. I need to call them about the module. I even get a crossover bleed through from one of the crashes to the ride cymbal. It's weird.

I just bought his Alesis from Guitar Center and the output volume is too low. If I insert the plug on the headphone’s output it works. Now I see that a lot of people has the same issue.

Just buy some Roland cymbals I believe the vh 11 will work with that module

Aren’t the cymbals supposed to be turned 180 degrees so the logo is on the back of the cymbal and you are able to read it properly ? 😂 I mean, even the pictures on stores product page and on Alesis website show the logos oriented in a way that you can read the text and not being upside down. This is just common sense.

There is definitely some validity to turning the symbols and striking right on the name. I have this same kit. Been having trouble with my ride. Turned it to strike the name and it seems to be much more responsive. Tried it on the other cymbals as well. Definitely more responsive and a volume difference as well.

I just got the new Pro SE kit and I have no idea why this new rack seems flimsy and then I come see this video and it looks as if they went backwards with the quality of the rack. This rack in this video looks something like gibraltor quality vs the rack that I got in the more expensive SE kit. What in the world Alesis?

The logo is where the piezo is located. It's working as good as a single piezo cymbal can. You'll have to turn it around and crank the sensitivity and CUR (velocity curve) up on the module. YES, you HAVE to program your drums. It's piezos + software. Just how it is. Once you figure out what you like you're on your way. Right now you're in Default settings. Want to know a funny thing? The smaller cymbals are BETTER! Why? Less area for the piezo to ring through. The bigger ones that look realistic are all floppy and a bit dead.

Glad it helped! I know its a very specific use case, but being a drummer your car is super important. When I was looking at the FRS, I couldn't find ANYTHING online about drums fitting in the car. I had to eyeball it, which is why I made this video for anyone else. So you're exactly the type of person who I was hoping would see this video, haha.

I was thinking off buying this kit. But It has a lot of bad reviews, like the sound comming out of the module is really soft. And trigger response is also bad, base drum being the worst. Are your problems solved by now?

I have a question. How do you record a drum cover and then add music to it? Because if you want to listen to the song in headphones, how can the viewers hear it too? I’m so confused, I’m sorry :(

Hey Lulu! The easiest way is to use a program like Garageband or Logic Pro if you have a Mac, or something like Reaper or Protools if you use a PC. Reaper is free and easy to use. Basically, you'll create a track in the program for your music file (mp3 or otherwise) to go into, and put the music on that track. Then, you'll record your drums using whatever microphone setup you have while playing along to the music on a separate track (or tracks, if you have multiple mics). I hope that helps :)

Richard Nash that is quite confusing😅 I don’t have a Mac so if I use iMovie would it work? Also isn’t it easier if you just record drums only while you’re listening to the song in your headphones and then you sync the drums only video with the song?
