I start school august 28th... and I'm SO pumped. Personally, I've always had a really rough time in school. I had panic attacks, depression, and trouble focusing. My mom is anti psychiatrist and anti-medication and attributed all my awful emotions towards being an emotional teen. It wasn't until I tried to harm myself and then eventually end my life she got serious and we both knew this was going to be addressed. At 21 years old almost, I've finally been diagnosed with major depressive disorder, ADHD, and dissassociative tendencies in the face of extreme stress. I'm on medications that make me feel normal. Happy. Amazing. Like I'm not 15 feet behind everyone else and carrying a cinder block in my hands. The doctors bills are INSANE and I would love to win so I can have a new laptop and not have to worry about notebooks and stationery for BTS time. God bless you, Alicia. And seriously, anyone reading : if you feel like hurting yourself or that there's something seriously wrong going on in your head or body.. SAY SOMETHING. see a psychiatrist. A professional. Let THEM tell you if there's something more serious than hormones at play. Because it's saved my life. I really hope this inspires someone to ask questions.. because trust me, I'm in such a better place because of it!
