You can by watching the shows/movies, reading the books (Nancy Drew Files is a good series), dressing up in the fashions, playing with the toys, and listening to the music. Keep in mind: limiting internet time - save for when you need the 80s music and films - is a major 80s thing to do since it really started to be common during the 90s. I know it's really tricky nowadays, but it can be done. The food is sadly even trickier, since a bunch have been discontinued, but others are still around. I've been doing research because my friend and I are gonna have an 80s-themed year next year, so I've already got a list of foods that came out during the 80s and even before then. It's a long list though, so I can't give you the whole thing right away...but I can give you portions of the list in separate comments if you want to copy them. Erm...I don't think it's entirely complete though.

My mom was born in '74, she was able to identify most of these when I showed it to her. There's one thing she saw that I didn't and that was at 2:50, the little guy. She recognized him as Tattoo, the little dude from Fantasy Island who'd shout his catchphrase, "Da' plane! Da' plane!". She had me as a teenager, as I was born in 1990. I also showed her "Back to the 90s" and some things she either mispronounced or got wrong, I corrected her.

I love you guys. What's even more awesome is I noticed with songs like blinding lights how the 80s is coming back around in its own way just like in last decade or so, songs like daft punks ,get lucky or Dee-lights ,groove is in the heart which touched on the '70s and 60s. Things managed to come full circle if you wait long enough. As far as you guys doing a sequel to the 90s or anything else in the same sphere I say go for it no matter the likes count! Because of the algorithm being the way it is I never knew you guys existed till much later but I thoroughly enjoyed it and showed everybody I knew your 90s video and a lot of them hadn't seen it either. These are like mini time capsules. Heck my kids still sing it to this day.
