Is it normal for a 51-year old man who doesn’t cry that often to have tears in his eyes after watching this? Asking for a friend.
@stuierich Жыл бұрын
not at all! I cry every time bro - you got a friend right here

It's normal bro. 50yo man here, and everything about the 80's just make me tear up easily these days... I'm still in shock and heart broken that we lost Tina days ago... 😥

this video and song gives a glimpse of the feelings you had or should have had before, for your sake. It means you are still a human being.

I’m not crying man, I’m FREAKIN balling my eyes out! Good Lord time just flies by…80’s will ALWAYS RULE!

In the 1980s we had so much fun and freedom, yet we dreamed of living with 21st century technology. In the 21st century we have so much technology, yet we dream of the fun and freedom of living in the 1980s.

We need to file a class action lawsuit. We were promised flying cars and instead we got a clown show.
@44excalibur3 жыл бұрын
@@ThaBigP Clown show is right. But I'm actually glad we don't have flying cars because who would want them? They'd be ridiculously expensive, you'd have to get a pilot's license as well as a driver's license, and it would create all new kinds of traffic problems.

There is zero doubt this was the best decade in human history. Enough technological advances to make life easy and fun. But not enough to cut out the human element. This was the tipping point where we had it set up perfectly. I’m so fortunate to have loved through that decade as a child/teenager. Everyone of these scenes brings back memories that make me feel so warm. Thanks for posting.

Well said....this was before electronic devices took over our lives. I loved growing up in the Wonder Years of the 60's and 70's, but those decades had huge civil unrest, Vietnam, and a terrible recession and gas lines by the end of the 70's. The 80's was just a happier time. The 80's spanned age 24 to 34 for me. Great years. "Time of your life, huh kid?" Yes it was.

I turned 20 in 87, most definitely the best decade of my life. I'd really love to relive it all over again. Best of times!

The 80s was the last decade where we still had an innocence about us. Where TV shows still had a moral lesson to teach, where the good guys defeated the bad guys, where there was an energy to everything that most everyone could recognize. I was a young kid during this time and remember learning many lessons just from watching TV, you can't do that today. For anyone that lived through that decade I'm sure you could agree with what I'm saying. In today's world we've lost that innocence and I'm afraid we'll never get it back again. If I had the chance to go back I would without hesitation. Everything just seemed right.

People today are even too scared to just enjoy what's out there without analyzing if it fits there religion or political views. Why do you think Billie Eilish ran off with all the Grammys this year. What she did has roots in the Cure and Punk music and it is interesting and refreshing. Pisses the divas of today off because they are trying so hard to be perfect but Billie and groups from the 80s are allowed to be themselves.

I think the fact you can see a single image or frames and automatically identify what movie, television show, or music video it comes from shows how influential and powerful 1980's iconography truly is. There are kids and teenagers today who are addicted to the 1980s. I think a big part of why kids from 2024 are captivated by the 1980s is that this was a decade of anything was possible. Blind optimism, crazy ideas and romantic dreams that was us in the 1980s. ❤😂

I'm sitting here watching the video and I'm in tears. Not because I experienced that time myself and miss it, I'm too young for that. But because of my mother. She showed me all these movies and songs that she loved when she was young. Every now and then she talks about the 80s and tells me what she experienced and that she would like to travel back to that time to relive it. But what makes me cry is that I see her every day and realize that she is getting older. I really dread the day when it's time to say goodbye to her. But this video reminds me that while life is finite, but the stories my mom told me and the love I have for her will last forever.

60 this year and absolutely did i live the best years of my life in the 80's. This post absolutely floods my eyes with tears of happiness and joy. No other time in this universe will be fondly remembered and admired with love and affection where the the 80's wove it's threads to create the most beautiful tapestry of life as regards to music, film and life itself. The 80's had an innocence that can only be appreciated by those who were there and actually lived it. The technology of life did not exist which i suppose enabled us to imagine, create, socialise, and gave us a spring in our steps to really go for it and enjoy life in a more adventurous and fresher outlook. Simplicity itself was the forefront of the 80's however once simple has gone you will never ever be able to get it back and that's why the 80's was so significant. It's as if everything good that was ever created was made in the 80's and that's one of the reason's why the 80's was and always will be the most formidable, memorable, exciting and darn right flamboyant decade that will never ever be surpassed for those who lived it and can still remember it.

When everyone who acted or sang wanted to come to the USA. They may be big stars in their country but that is nothing compared to being big stars here. I was watching a tv show where a comedy writer team had a hit show in their country and Hollywood brought them here and the money that was thrown at them at the beginning was huge even when compared to what they were getting with their huge success show in their own country. It's why so many come here to make it big. You make it big here and you can be big in many other countries while if you made it big in your own country you were kind of sectioned off to a smaller audience.

@T K sorry but I have to respond...America use to be the land of the free and home of the brave. Too many people did not learn history or understood what America was all about. We were one big melting pot of love. We've had our bad eras but so did every nation on the planet. The conservative and libertarian side in this country know who we are but our media have been over taken with socialist and/or globalist entities. The Americans who grew up in the 80's grew up with a pride in our country and understood what it meant to be American. Sadly the media in our country now push a globalist/socialist agenda. Wealth comes from freedom. When you let a socialist government take control you loose both. Luckily there are millions of us who grew up in the 80's and will fight to the end to bring that America back! You have no idea what living in the real America is.

They'll mever be another 80s like the 1980s. The pop culture, entertainment, fashion, school, is just too priceless.

As a teen from the 80's I have to say once this video began I got chills. I remember ALL of this. Then when I watched it again and began to read the comments that laugh-cry began and I realized we all grew up in the SAME town, on the same street wishing the same thing! And now we wished we were right back there! Here's a hug to all my 80's family! So blessed to have grown up in the 80's. Was the best decade of all time!

2021 Is Way To Mush The 80s Just Needed The DNA Of More Proof And I know it got started in 1987 or 88 But the 90s brought into more But 80s through all was still the best
