Hey mike! Thanks for watching...you are right a vortex does still keep the juices pooled and technically enhance flavor. I don't like the quality of the clay and how it maintains heat. Some people don't like it because of the air flow. Phunnel bowls will have almost zero restriction. In regards to the Egyptian...I actually use my Egyptian all the time now. It's a great bowl for tobaccos like haze.

@Brent Farida Hey! I def need to do a packing vid of other tobaccos! Since you have requested it, I'll try and get it done ASAP! I poke more larger holes for the tobacco tangiers in a straight line pattern. I poke smaller holes with a push pin for modern tobaccos like star buzz, af, haze, and fumari. The larger holes help with the dispersion of heat.

Thanks for the quick reply i just subscribed to ur channel I think youre doing a great job and youre very informative! my hookah just broke(blessing in disguise I had a crappy modern hookah with standard hose and ceramic bowl) and i decided now was the best time to upgrade so i bought a harmony bowl and my first ever natural coals (lol) along with a new hookah and I would love to see your future vids that would help me figure out how to use this new bowl with all different brands. Im a mint fan so all ive really smoked the last 3 yrs ( i know long time) is AF Mint but i want to try new things and I think your vids might just be the help i need with all the different tobacco brands. Especially bc ive heard tangiers cane mint is the best and I hear tangiers is a weird brand because you need to do special things. (One of ur vids explained one of them to be the dense packing)

Exactly what's wrong with the vortex bowl with regard to your preferences? I'm a novice, but the vortex looks like a cross between the egyptian bowl and the phunnel bowl with it's ability to pool juices and reduce seeping to the base. doesn't this at least get the advantage of the egyptian bowl?

This is an old video. The new vortex has larger holes for air flow. I had the older version. I like the clay with the goodfella and the harmony more. It heat manages better. I'm using the lotus right now with a standard Egyptian and its performing well

+StrictlyShisha so i don't have to switch from bowl to fit the lotus on it? and i have an other quastion.. i have recently bought a mya saray shisha the luna version with gold tomcococha coals but after smoking a while something like an hour or so i can only tast the coals and don't tast the flavor of my tobacco anymore while i use special edition al fakher tobacco and the vortex bowl with voil i don't know how that can happen but normaly that can't happen i think it is happening because i pack the vortex bowl wrong or something can you maybe explane me how to pack a vortex bowl really good so i can just tast the flavor and no coals?

+gabriel orum do you pack it very loose with the holes exposed? And what flavor? The flavor could be light so after an hour the tobacco is burned. I'm not familiar with those coals but if they have minimal taste they should not be tainting the flavor of the bowl. +StrictlyShisha yeah that is the problom i don't have any of that tobacco anymore but it is mango express and i extually drop the tobacco in the bowl so it won't cover the holes and if the tobacco covers the holes i co and make something like a littl hall way around the holes i can sent you a pic of the coles and the tobacco if that can help you i have at the moment no tobacco so i have to buy some again when i have new tobacco i will make a pic and sent it to you :)

Thanks bro! Just recently picked up the Tangiers small phunnel and an Alien Phunnel bowl. Currently tried using the lotus on a knock off chinese phunnel and there's barely any clouds. I've tried diff amount of coals, etc. no luck.....Watching peoples videos where they get ginormous clouds makes me envious, but for now I'm back to the old school tinfoil way, which had much flavour and clouds than my poor kaloud on a crapy phunnel.

Have you tried packing the bowl a little higher. When I pack modern shishas like haze, Starbuzz etc. I pack even with the rim and when I put the lotus on the little bumps are touching the tobacco and I let it heat up with 2/3 coals and the vents closed and open the vents fully and smoke for atleast and hour with huge clouds.

StrictlyShisha Figured my problem = Three Kings Noob coals. Using strictly coconaras now. Only 2 does doe the job. 3 toasts it. Prefer using the Kaloud on the Alien Phunnel

I would recommend checking out a product like Heaven Leaf Tobacco alternative or CocoUrth fruit tobacco. The vapor stones don’t work well

Isn't the Phunnel bowl patented?, Somebody told me it was patented so how are all these companies producing them? Or can't things like bowl types be patented?

Whats a good bowl for a 2 person session?

Honestly any bowl would suffice for 2 people. The standard Egyptian would work perfectly, if you are ordering a new bowl..I would suggest a Hookah John 80 Feet bowl. I have a new video of that. Great bowl that doesn't waste too much tobacco. Or an tangiers small. I feel like the medium and large are way too big and the picco is too small.

Thanks bro, I actually have the Tangiers Small, but I'm having troubles with the foil sucking down on the hole. I have the Egyptian Clay bowl that comes with the KM.. Think its the large one and dang that session is way to overwhelming for 2 people, I felt like I was going to faint lol

Joe Husary my lotus? No. It’s actually a first gen that came with the really nice box. I would not use a fake lotus. Btw this is very old video. One of my first Vids lol
