Cool video, thanks. I have two questions: 1. what happens if you pack your first tobacco the same way you did with second one? wouldn't it extend the session the same way as per your second example? 2. this is what I call "standard" phunnel bowl, however - some time ago I have received one that looks like glass for martini (triangle-ish form). It is a bowl that supposed to hold 50 grams of tobacco, however, its middle spire is much more shorter than in your case. So my question is this - how do I fill this bowl properly?

BUt if you find yourself with a bowl where the tangiers isnt used on the bottom of the bowl, just put it back into the container !

the pull with my phunnel bowl is very restrictive. I've tried all sorts of techniques to enhance the air flow, but nothing is working. Whenever i blow the coals while on the bowl, it's the only time i can get a descent bowl. The smoke is very thin and it's a huge pain in the ass to just start the bowl. any tips? thanks

coco nara with funnel. I pack starbuzz in it, but now I've just settled on using a vortex.

I would suggest doing a video on putting the foil onto the phunnel bowl. Often I have found that I am not able to place the foil on tight enough, which results in the foil restricting air flow through the hole. To prevent this I have made a "bar" which is a piece of foil rolled up into a toothpick like object, which I place on top of the spire of my bowl. Therefore the foil is unable to be pulled and cover the hole. I doubt that there is necessarily a method for getting the foil on tightly, especially since there are so many sizes of bowls, but I believe that the foil restricting air flow was a really big problem of mine when I first began using a phunnel.

Hookah .org No Problem :) You could also include poking holes in the foil. I understand that the hole pattern does not make too much a difference, but you did not mention to not poke a hole in the center of the foil when using a phunnel. It may be common sense to an extent, but just a though. I've also thought that since the hole of the phunnel is in the middle of the bowl, it may be beneficial to poke larger holes further from the center and a row of smaller ones closer to the center so that less air is coming directly from the top of the bowl into the base. But that is just a theory, I doubt that doing the hole pattern differently makes much of a difference at all.
