I put Kicker CS 6 x 9sin my truck’s rear doors- sounded horrible. They were comfortably below what they were rated to handle and still had to cross them over at about 250 to keep them from breaking up. Pulled them out and the suspension and surround felt like a 50 year old paper speaker; all floppy and loose. Replaced them with DS18 8” pro and Sky High tweets (did nothing else besides new mounting solution, already had tons of deadener), sounds phenomenal

Hello I’m having a hard time. I got myself a aftermarket stereo and a wiring harness that’s for the car and year. Impala 2005. I hooked up everything the right way I believe but can’t get the stereo to turn on. I seen someone on KZbin talking about hooking the red wire to the 4way flashers for the power? Can u please explain to me how and what I can do to make it work

Dean in the automotive feild there is a place you can go for colori codes of wires. Thats how i found out my reverse wire trigger for myp truck. Fyi brother

I’m curious to see my options to go about installing a sound system in my 1993 Miata. Space is super limited, so I’m not sure what items to go for. I had upgraded my head unit to a vintage Panasonic CQ VX5500, upgraded the 2x4” blown out stock headrest speakers to 4x6” Polk db462’s, paired up with kenwood 6.5” speakers in the doors (can’t remember the model name). The car is a convertible, so a nice to have option is to be able to hear sound going down the highway. Im open to upgrading the speakers (I have a rollbar behind the seats, so I can even ditch the headrest speaker la for larger ones either mounted on the rollbar or adding a cutout for two to fit in the rear parcel shelf of the car, adding an amp configuration and a sub, I just don’t have too much knowledge in compatibility. I’d definitely love to keep the head unit the same. Currently I don’t mind the sound, although it gets distorted most of the time, and I’d like a little more bass, but I value clean sound rather than heavy bass sound
