Thank you for your video. Our current USA generations have been raised believing that some else is going to be of service for them, some other group of people “do that thing” whatever it is. Unfortunately these are needs that are required to live. I remember talking with my Grandma who was born in 1900 about the Depression years. She explained that she and her family were living what is now known as preparedness on their farm, raising and growing their own food and their foods’ food. She said the most valuable thing is family/community. Her answer to making it through difficult times was working together. 🌞🌱❤️

The last time a hurricane hit the mountains was 2004. A lot of the same places flooded, just not to this extent, and not following storms that had already saturated the earth. Previous to that the area experienced devastating floods in 1916 that also changed the face of the landscape. You can still see the boulders in North Cove that came down from the heights. This is not secret information, but you do have to pay attention to the historic record for it to have any value.

I keep trying to tell people about the percentages in the Great Depression and how 90 percent of people lived rural and 10 percent urban, and how it's flip flopped. When there is that big of a flip, i'll tell you, that should make anyone shudder. But no, people talk about how they want to get prepared, but nope, they never seem to do it. It's hard because my husband and I have made sacrifices to get things set up on our property, and everyone else is just in la la land going on vacations, blowing money left and right, it's getting harder and harder to see people doing this. Anyway, love your video today. When you mentioned Plato's cave and the Lusitania, my heart lifted. Finally someone who really knows history. Subscribed. Thanks for the wise advice, my friends. I have fond memories of Jim Marrs, who was a man of great insight and integrity. From where I sit here, across the ocean that separates us, I'd like to offer a word of caution to your statement about where you may look for funding support .Be very wary of seeking help from any corporation. It is this 'help' that has bought and paid for the politicians who have created the very problems you face in Carolina and Tennessee in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. I'll give you a seemingly trivial example from here in Britain of what has happened since the election of the other wing of the corporate controlled uni-party here, earlier this year. By law, anyone who keeps fowl, be they chickens, geese, and even other birds, now has to register every single animal with the government. Owners are legally obliged to update that register every year. If anyone fails to comply with this, they face going to gaol (jail) for six months. Steer well clear of help from any corporation my friends, they are the very manifestation of evil which you valiantly oppose.

I’ve watched all your composting videos, and Eric Sider who was doing stationary chicken tractor and then you showed Ben Hollar doing it. So this year was my first year with chickens & I’m finally getting my own small system down. I’m getting 8, five gallon buckets of compost every 2 weeks! I didn’t have my wheel barrow to use at first , but then realized it was just easier on my small property to continue using the buckets and it gives me a more accurate measurement (since wheel barrows can be heaped & hard to know if you’re getting the same volume each load) Anyway- THANK YOU! I’ve told you before, but my husband was a “we’re never getting chickens” man until watching all your composting videos a few years ago. Watching me struggle over the years, to make enough regular compost each year and the difference it made in my produce that received the compost, when he saw how much & how quickly you made compost with those chickens, it changed his mind! We got chickens a year ago! THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge & experience!

Yes you both would be assets to my project, Liberty Grove. It is a sustainable, off grid community that offers skill building, work to own homes, conservation, resourceful and resilient lifestyles. A place where children don't need babysitters, bills aren't a stressful issue, addiction is replaced with purpose and self-worth and learn to be self-relient but community driven.

When talking to people about being prepared or about conflict I've notice they dismiss or or in the case of conflict talk themselves up so to speak and my response is always. You have no idea what you will do until it's in your face. Being prepared is in your DNA. I notice that so many people even in these mountains of North Carolina in this tragedy were still totally unprepared. Can you imagine how venerable those in the cities really are. Those like yourself are the modern day Noa in my opinion and I salute you. Also great job dad raising that young man.

I am very interested in hearing this perspective and information that you’re offering… I think it is very important. I also have a request, or am curious about your earthship progress? I remember seeing some of the videos when you mentioned the earthship build. I have a feeling we need to look at more sustainable ways of building but also for the reason of them (buildings) being more resilient to any number of challenges (ie weather, no electricity bc emp etc.) we may face. Appreciate your time and efforts! Most importantly Thank you for keeping it real. I honestly wish I had friends like you all. I’m doing it alone atm praying to find my community. Really touched me how you talked about the gentleman who prepared for his neighbors too! Wow! That’s really another level of consciousness. Anyway, Continued prayers for everyone!! 🙏 God Bless y’all! ❤❤❤ love from Arizona 🌵🌻🌞

So nice to see you two together again! Glad to hear your going back to your original channel topics. I've always said if prepping doesn't lead you to homesteading you've missed the mark! And canning Walmart meat and making daily trips to Aldi isn't homesteading! 😊

It occured to me today when thinking about WNC you can prepare for somethings but you can't prepare for everything. But because you can't prepare for everything it doesn't mean you shouldn't prepare for somethings.

I appreciate you guys so much. You're right that people quickly move on and don't want to really fix the true problems. And oh how I know how people promise to this and that and never follow up or truly stay with the issue until it is addressed and fixed. I do not place my faith in politicians and such either. My favorite prayer now is just this... I Trust You Jesus! Simple but quite effective. Jesus hears our prayers and will guide our paths as we navigate whatever may come. 🙏🙂

Billy this urge to avoid getting to the true root causes is the human condition no matter what the issue. We are dealing with a cancer diagnosis (no we didn’t get jabbed 😊) and I’ll tell you- what an education it has been on root causes and the urge to avoid them this has been! It’s the same in the cancer which is politics. People love to imagine that there is no real truth underneath the visible symptoms we see all around us.
