Their are afew reefs if you head around left of where u were straight of karehana beach and their is alot of rocky area, so cool to see you so close to where i live, would love to see some vertical jigging out their, are you going to be fishing there much more ?

Mate, you managed to find a gap in the weather! Ive been sitting patiently for the weather and swell to calm down here in the Manawatu. Been thinking about making a trip down to Wellies just to get out. I said to the mrs tonight that my main man Matt from nomadic hasn't posted in a while. She said why? I replied that you moved down to Wellington to work at a Burnsco and that the weather has been terrible. I also commented that you are probably missing that nice Northland weather right about now haha. Good to finally see you out there though, hopefully you're still here when summer comes around, Kapiti really can turn it on around Christmas time! Till next time Matt, take care bro! 🤙

You badly need a set of balloon wheels. Can't be great for the kayak to be dragged up and over rocks constantly. How do you find the seat setup? I have an old hobie evo 13 with the old seat and it's a pain in the ass after being on the water for longer than a few hours, even with a cushion.

I've had this kayak for almost 8years now and it's still totally fine with only a few surface scratches. It's one of many reasons that I love viking kayaks- they're super durable. The seats pretty good, I find that the comfort is dictated by the pfd u wear. I badly designed life jacket will mess up the back support no matter the seat

Bro I'm sure you know what you're doing but turning into an on coming wave sideways really isn't advisable. That shit almost always spells disaster and a serious wetting down. Not to mention loss of gear. Hold fast and ride the wave instead of turning side onto it as its breaking.
