But from what I've seen he seems super invested in making tix accessible to everyone; I was amazed at how low he kept his nosebleed general seating prices, they were just $40 or something. That's really generous of him. I got floor standing for just $140.

Which was criminal anyway because he's one of the few artist with albums that are consistently stacked to the brim with songs that could totally stand on their own as hit singles. I still can't believe Nina Cried Power and Work Song in particular were not astronomical hits. He has such good songs and surrounds himself with so many talented musicians to perform them. His vocal and songwriting skills are truly amazing. I'm glad he's getting more recognition and hope people go back and listen to all the gems they missed on previous albums if they only knew him for Take Me To Church.

That's a great interpretation! I see it as if he's with someone that, no matter how great, it's just not for him. It's like him telling her "damn you're perfect... for someone else"
