Yeah, they are common in big RVs, the few people I’ve talked to say you have to run the dry cycle twice to actually get dry clothes but maybe the newer ones are more efficient.
@matirussing4135
@matirussing4135 4 ай бұрын
Washer and dryer combo here in Europe starts from 400 eur. Saves lots of space, the only con is that the work cycle when washing and drying is min 4-5 h. So if you have many kids and need to do laundry often you can do max 2 full machine in a day. With different machines you can wash and dry at the same time.
@milanterman8173
@milanterman8173 4 ай бұрын
The problem is that usually the machine doesn't have the same washing and drying capacity. So if you put the full load for washing, you should take out half of the clothes out if you want to dry it in one drying cycle. And then dry the other half later.

So be very careful with the stones in your fire pit. Some seem to have been in the pond and there could be water in them. If that heats up a stone could crack or explode. Furthermore: if the fire pit has trouble getting a good fire dig a tunnel under the stones so some extra air can get to the fire.
@marigeobrien
@marigeobrien 4 ай бұрын
It's probably good that they're doing this now, in the winter. That should give the stones some time to dry out... Although, judging from the scenes at the end of the video, I'd say it's a little late to worry about wet stones.
@OperationDarkside
@OperationDarkside 4 ай бұрын
Good thinking with the air supply. Since there is a slope behind the bushes, they could hide the intake of some galvanized oven exhaust pipe behind the bushes and it would also function as drainage.

Just a quick pro tip for excavator so you don't tear up your grass. Use down pressure with the bucket when you want to turn, lifting the front of the tracks off the ground. That makes it so there is less of the track on the ground, less damage.

Washer / Dryer combination is pretty common here in Europe. I don't know many people who actually have them though. They take forever and use a LOT more energy.
@broc226
@broc226 4 ай бұрын
Yeah the traditional combos take less space and can ventless and/or run from standard voltage outlets, but also come with a lot of downsides. That's why they never caught on in the U.S. But the new ones like in the video are a game changer, they take advantage of improved heat pump tech to do a much better job with much less energy. At least that's what I've heard. Just bought one myself to install this week, will have to report back . . .

@@StallionFernando A smokeless fire pit, at least ones I’ve seen, are similar to rocket stoves where they draw the smoke back down into the fire to burn them off. They produce a lot less smoke and excess gasses that way, because most of it gets burned back off.

When was the last time you posted a video demonstrating that you need(!) a dump trailer? Get a 14000# (two 7000-pound axles). Mine is 14 feet long and will happily carry a 10,000-pound excavator or skid-steer. If you go longer, you may have some difficulty getting enough height (steep enough angle) to dump sticky (wet) stuff easily. If you go shorter, your equipment of choice may not fit. If you need five, or less, tons of material at your job site. Just go get it. Need to haul a load to the dump? Handle that stuff only once to load it, maybe even with a machine. The dump-run could then be a one-person affair. Jamie, just part with a few bucks. You'll wonder how you ever functioned without a good dump-trailer. They are a great time/labor/aggravation/money saver. I love and respect the entire Perkins crew. You guys have skill, talent, integrity and always manage to show us a good time. I'd confidently trust you to build anything. Thanks for taking us along.
