Some numbers, because the problem was, he had to repair the castle, it costs more than 1 base mining: The castle costs around 1k gold, 600 lumber. It has 2.5k HP. So to repair 5 HP, you need 2 gold and over 1 lumber. So if it loses 25 HP per second, it costs more to repair it than a base mines. The Lich + PL + destros dealt more dmg, and he lost peasants. He mined maybe 300 gold per minute, because he had to repair all the time. He lost maybe 1 peasant every 1 - 2 minutes. so effectifly it wasn't 2 base vs 1 base, it was more like 1/2 a base vs 1 base, maybe even less. So being able to siege a castle, or any T3 main building, like that, is very effective. Also pillage against T3 main buildings can generate a lot of income 🤷‍♂️

I think, engaging into the UD with flying machines the first time was his mistake. It was close, but a destro survived on ~100 HP, and UD has sustain, so you need kills, or it's meaningless. I think, 3 flying machines more, a knight more, and catching reinforcing troops instead of attacking first with the flying machines, and after most are dead with the rest of the army. So basically wainting around 50 - 60 seconds more with breaking out, and he could have won the fight, or Happy would have retreated, if he sees, Leon catched a fiend or a statue. He killed PL in the first fight, he would have had the time to wait 1 more minute, and imo that would have been his only chance. Later Happy was to strong. Statues gave him sustain, a Castle is expensive, repair on that thing is something like 2 or 3 gold and 1 wood for 5 HP, he lost peasants from time to time, maybe 1 per minute or more, and gets maybe 300 gold per minute from the base, not 600, because he has to repair all the time. So overall, with this Lich attacking the castle, he loses gold from this base, and it's not 2 base vs 1 base, but more 3/4 of a base vs 1 base. If you do the math, repairing against the Lich will cost something like 6 - 8 gold and maybe 3 lumber per second. If he mined with 50% efficiency in his main, he had 5 gold per second from there, so it really drained his ressources, and long term, he had no chance 🤷‍♂️
