The splitting is something, players in general struggle with. Also happy with his gargs against bats. Imo some air units, like wyvern, don't turn and react fast enough, they feel a bit sluggish. Especially if you focus fire, and they just start their firing animation, and you click behind them to make them turn 180° and fly away from the enemy. It feels like it takes a lot of time, until they are done with their animation, turn around and move. But maybe that's just on me, because I played SC2 far more than WC3, and most air units there move differently. Still, if I would have to compare wyvern with a SC2 unit, it would be tempest or even broodlord, and they are long range, air units, and especially the broodlord is sluggish. But in general, most players have issues with splitting, UD just doesn't lose immediately everything, if a bat hits, and nova and acid bomb, with the long range and a short cooldown, hit more often than bats, so imo the issue with splits is just far more visible if you play wyvern, but it's not like orcs are worse with their splits 🤷‍♂️

infi has like lowest common sense of all the pro players, especially the 3rd game. he had economy to build 100 army for like 15 minutes ago, instead he runs around feeding his army away bit by bits and never even have a 70 supply army not to mention giving ud lvl6 heroes my god

the splitting is not only on the orc, but happy also lacks micro to split gargs and destros against the bat boom. I've never seen him splitting his air units.

it's a good point, but splitting is not as high priority as moving back or nuking bats preemptively (as more efficient ways to mitigate damage). Also, the main effect of nova and acid is aoe damage, but for bats the direct target damage have much more impact.

Smart play by Happy last game. He knew Infi would try to rat him while building the army, so he patiently defends his few bases, making sure he always comes out of each fight with a few wyvern kills and a forced TP. Gradually, UD heroes get high levels and become an unkillable army of their own. He knows late game there is NO WAY Infi wins with heroes. Infi should've attempted a timing where he spends his bank to build up a 100/100 army and try to end it right then and there, but it seems like he was too scared, thinking Happy might see it with a shade.

exactly. Infi almost did it, but late with reinforcements and still take a fight. That was a huge, should give up this base and get his 90-100 army together

Infi was close to winning in the 3rd game. He cornered himself at that gold mine 1:04:33 and lost the chance to pile a 100 supply of army. Also, Happy got insane timing, stopping Infi from building that 100 army twice.

His undead skill was pretty poor to be honest. One night last month he recorded about 8 losing streak when using UD, and then he said that he would never use UD again on this patch.

@@sanaebeast4485 Very true. Only ones that played this game and used UD a lot can tell how skillful happy is. The third game on TM showed his multi team defense skill (sorry I don't know how to exactly describe this in English) that was never seen on other UD players before. Old players know that when UD fell into a situation like this when facing orc air forces or hum tanks was almost an auto lose game. If the UD player was 120 or laby, they would surrender very early in this situation.

It\s amazing how desperate you are to try to prove that Orc Vs UD is balanced, or, even worse, that is favors Orc. You need to be brain-dead to think that UD is not favored in this matchup. So many games where Happy loses all his heroes, is down 20 food and 1 base Vs 2 bases, and then just sells his altar, rebuys heroes at tavern, makes 2 statues and then owns Orc. So many games that UD wins with *literally* only it's heroes Vs an aneite Orc army This is not the 2000's, when Orc was favored over UD. Just th. Orc got nerfed into the ground. Just the fact that Blademaster received a -2 agility nerf + a 2 second cooldown to wind walk akes the hero unasuable since the whole point of BM is to go deep into the enemy army and snipe units. UD, conversely, got buffed into Infinity in 2018. Happy was a second-tier pro back in the 2000's, and he got boosted by Blizzard. This is not 2007 when UD wenmt fiends every game and Orc could load BM with circlet os nobility and claws of attack and own every game. This matchup now is *completely* diferent, with Orc heroes being much weaker and UD going frenzied ghouls + destroyers. Why do people pretend like we are still in 2007 and that Orc is favored in this matchup? This is sdo stupid. Happy cna nplay terribly, lose all his heroes, be down 20 food and an expo and *still8* merk the entire Orc army into oblivion with only heroes a few ghouls. It's ridiculous that you have the audacity to claim that Orc is favored ove4r UD in 2024. UD >>>>>>> Orc, and it's not even close.

Neo's comment about splitting wyvern is so uneducated. The *whole* point of wyverns is as a heavy focus fire unit to take out individual units quickly, like voids in SC2. Wyverns are squishy AF and give out a ton of exp. They only have value in large numbers as a single-focus fire unit to kill heroes. This is why when Orcs play wyvern build, they sell items and even delay shop so as to get as many wyverns ASAP. Getting 4 or 5 wyverns is mostly just feeding exp to opponent. If you split your wyverns into 2 groups, that means ionly 5-6 wyverns top per group for single fire, which cannot really kill hexed heroes that are level 3 or higher fast enough. Also, you cannot re-join the 2 groups fast enough after Nova is casted because UD has speed advanatage due to Unholy Aura. Also, it's not like wyvern build is amazing or anything. the reason why Orcs are going it Vs UD is out of desperation because over the past 18 months, Lyn, the most Gosu Orc, bas tried 10 different builds and nothing else works due to the overwhelming strength of frenzied ghouls and tier 3 destroyer pushes. Mass wyvern is a risky build because it relies on ending the game quickly, since wyverns cannot really compete Vs high-level Lich with Orb of Corruption + Acid Bomb. All different Orc builds get countered basically by ghouls and destroyers, no matter what mix of units or timings that the Orc uses.

You mean mass wyvern lost to 3 destroyers 2 gargs, acid bomb, coil, nova? Just ignoring the fact that happy play alch to counter the whole strat is silly. Why not see alch and transition out into something that normally loses to DR, like idk berserker? He could base lame and transition. He already goes T3 so it's not impossible and no dr means no skeletons to counter

I am currently at min 8 game 2, but Happy lost to this strat a lot, then made adjustments. What I saw the last games, is, he plays shade and often times orb on DK instead of Lich, to get more AA. It works out, so imo it's now on the Orcs again to find a way to beat that. I think, 1 liquid fire bat + wyvern and harrassment can work out to snipe the gold mines and zigurats. Maybe something like that slows Happy down far enough to overwhelm him. I also agree, after he goes Alch 3rd, he is stuck with that, so no DR to counter HHs. So I agree, orcs should try to be more flexible and to transition out of Wyvern, after they see the Alchemist. Maybe they can cover it with liquid fire and harrassment, instead of trying to fight an Alchemist and coil nova, with a DK, that can attack air. Edit: he gave away game 3. Stayed below 50 for so long. Had over 3k gold with 0 lumber. Had 10 minutes to build everything he wants, and he stayed on wyvern. After Happy was down to so few buildings, why didn't he go 80 supply, 2 groups, raiders with all his bases? Maybe he can catch a destro from time to time. I know, coil nova means guaranteed kills, but why not mass HH, 80 supply, and just focus down Lich? With all the resources, it's even possible to just go 100 supply kodo, and eat all Ghouls and focus Lich and ignore coil nova. He had money for 15 kodos at 50 supply. Infi had over 3k gold while building and donating more and more wyvern vs a 50 supply UD. He could have had every 100 supply army he wants to win the game, had the option to end it with raiders, but he stayed on air, donated units and allowed Happy to get over 70 supply 🤦‍♂️
