I don't have my backone yet but it's on the way. Do you know if a 90 degree cable (lightening) would fit in the bottom of the controller? It looks like the plastic may prevent it from attaching properly? I wanted to preorder my cables.

Probably not. I believe the port on the backbone isn’t able to transfer data, only power.

To adjust button mapping in iOS, go create a profile on the Settings > General > Game Controllers page. Then, select that profile on your controllers section. You can also set a profile to automatically load up for select games.

I got frustrated with this whole “can’t use cell phone covers” situation so found if you take those rubber pieces off from under the lighting cable (where you plug into your phone) and the other side, you can use thin covers

The backbone button does open the menu in say xcloud, but it’s like a quick hold gesture smh like hold but not too long f you do it too fast it’ll open the backbone app, too long and it’ll open the backbone app😂😂 just right it’ll open your menu

They have solved that issues with the backbone 2nd gen. You can use cases

To remap the controls you have to create a new controller profile on the screen of your controller. It took me a while to find it too 😃

Are you able to output video to a tv using the proper cord configuration? Running an Iphone 15 plus with my backbone (usb C version) trying to output my game to my tv via a usb C to HDMI cable. Have not gotten it to work yet. Seems like something that should be available in the 'use any screen' feature. Am I just being dumb or is this not possible?

@@Anonymous_499 just don’t buy it lol, the features you get definitely aren’t worth paying at all in my opinion. You can use the controller without the sub, you just need to select the games through your iphones home page, not on the backbone app.

I love my Backbone One controller! It fits snuggly on my iPhone and does not move! Makes it seem like it is one solid gaming device like a Switch Lite. The only thing I don't like is I have to take my case off to use it, and then pray that I don't drop it while it is out of the case. Other than that, yeah, it's fantastic! Buttons are really responsive and I really like the quick screenshot/video record button! This is 100x better than carrying a separate Bluetooth controller with you.

Just tap home. Where it saids backbone+ and home. You can tap or use R1 to get out of that screen. I know it’s annoying they try to hide it.

Word of advice if you do not have a modern day phone. Let's say a motorola g Which is fairly modern like I have The device will not charge. You'll see the little orange light turn on and it will disappear in about a second. But I also happened to have a Galaxy A54. And since they are in competition with iPhone, they will always keep up with their software. So any phone i'm guessing with the word galaxy will charge with the backbone but the Motorola was released in 2013 the a54 was released last year as in less than a year

I just got one for Christmas and I really want to love it. However, Fortnite takes over thirty minutes sometimes 110 minutes for it to load into a game. Then when I load into a game, it lags and plays itself. It starts moving even when I don’t touch the buttons. If anyone has tips please I need help or I’m returning it

The backbone is very good to play modern games at a much more affordable price cause you pay $40 a month and can play 100's of games unless you only buy like 7 games a year then you can stick with the regular console's

Update I live in Ohio and I went on vacation and Kansas and my backbone worked fine playing the Diablo 4 beta and no man sky. My internet went out on the last day but it worked fine till then
