Very good explanation on heavy hauling packs and the differences in the cheap ones vs the expensive ones. I hauled a 70# load with a cheap walmart meat frame and it killed me, but I was wearing the weight on my shoulders the whole 3 miles. I am going to pull the trigger on a duplex hopefully soon. Kifaru is proud of their stuff but I think its worth it. Good video.

Yeah. Big guys need a bigger day pack. On bag size along, let alone harness size. My insulation jacket is probably as big as a small guys sleeping bag. Big guys need move volume for more water, more insulation etc. My Xing is about perfect for me, but a lot of people say "oh what a huge pack" or "are you going away for a week". But for me it's insulation, light rain jacket, a couple of liters of water and basic EDC and that Xing is nearly full. That's bag size. For lift the 24" stays of my Navigator is about perfect for heavy loads alought even the 22" of the Xing works with the loads I carry in the Xing - the weight's still on my hips. Oh yeah I'm about 185cm tall, 140KG (obese - I've had Kifaru build custom length belts for me - from the old days when they'd do custom builds) and have 3 ruptured discs from L5/S1 on up. But when my legs are working I can still carry 30-40KG in that Navigator. KIfaru harness system is the best I've used in 30+ years of carrying packs and webbing. I only wish they'e move to lighter fabric. 200D would be fine.

8:35 How is this different from the multiple load lifter strap attachments on the Mystery Ranch NICE frame with lift kit? He said Kifaru was the only one who has that option, is there something different between the two systems?

It's not, Mystery Ranch makes great packs as well. When you watch a video, keep in mind who is paying the guy when they start talking brands. Kifaru didn't invent backpacks or good harness systems. They have good packs, just like a half dozen or more other companies.
