I ordered my backdrop from LARC products and had a similar issue with air bubbles, although nothing like what you've had. My solution was to use a heat gun to take out the air bubbles, it worked great and the bubbles have nor returned. I've had my backdrop on my N-Scale layout up for several years now and it still looks fantastic.

Such a shame with that part of the backdrop, can fully understand your frustration. I really like the look of that soil you achieved at that little river, looks very realistic. Good idea to re-do that one part of the grassy area which looked kinda wrong. Looking forward to your next steps.

Very much appreciated. Yeah I agree, the one area just didnt look right. Thanks so much for watching.

Bummer about the backdrop issues…the eroded river shore line you created looks spot on 👍🏽

Layout is coming along well, Thomas! Too bad about that backdrop. That really sucks and then to get a replacement that doesn't even match. Well, carry on!! - Brian

Nice update, the bank erosion looks incredible! Can't wait to see a 'how to' or tutorial on how to create that look. Very impressive!

I might have a solution to this problem……. When I have had this issue, I used to small sewing pin to gently pop a micro hole in the bubble….. and it worked great !! Try this and see what happens 😊 …. Maybe you can save your money and backdrop at the same time !!!

I appreciate the helpful tip. Unfortunately I have already tried this and it just pops back up after about an hour. Its a bummer for sure.

I have been undecided about a photo back drop or attempting a bob ross style back drop . after seeing this I will do a hand painted back drop at worst i could sand it down start over.

@@mikegall5511 if I had to do it over again knowing what I know I would hand paint mine as well.

Man, there's not much worse than spending a bunch of money on something and it turns out being a flop! What scallywag sells this backdrop? I sure don't want to make the mistake of buying from them. The river is coming along nicely as well.
