check valves are not back-flow preventers buddy they are two different things

@@Georgeisworking oh ok, i was responding to the original comment, back flow preventer is similar to a check valve but back flows are designed to protect water and offer more protection. They have more parts and are definitely not check valves!

I have a question, what if someone uses this for drainage connected from their house and it backs up, what do you do in that case? Also would it just cause the water to go back the other direction or burst the pipe?

@@ishaqkhodor1388 Good question, there really is no reason to use this on a drainage system for your home unless it’s a situation like the one in this video. But if one is used and will be buried underground, I would suggest putting a clean out right before and after this one way valve.
