Saw this coach at the tournament in Canada…he literally sits straight up, no slouching for Halep’s entire match…very disciplined guy.

Crazy what a good coach can do in just 10 mins. She did great and made a lot of improvement in that short time

Your dreaming. Lol anybody who's a tennis player can do that dry run in a few minutes .You have to do it over and over to get it down for weeks or months to get it with live balls. And if you don't wanna hit thousands of balls no matter if Patrick or Federer or whoever is teaching you forget about it. You're not gonna have that shot.

Her BH needs power. Any tennis player knows your ball that hits in court has to hit the back fence without bouncing again. That one left hand drill is going to help.

@Patrick Muratoglou- thanks for sharing. It would be great to get your take (and instruction) on a one handed backhand. I play a decent 1H BH but would like to hear your take and if it is worth switching to 2H BH for control, power and consistency as I progress at a skill level and competitive play (currently a 3.5/4.0).

Got it genius. But not a bad idea to practice the baby BH slice when you get push deep and wide on the BH side dropping it in that little " funny bone" which is angled barely over net to your opponent BH. Even all the pros have problems with it . Fed loves to do that then move in and usually get a cross court drop that is so awkward to execute for anybody.

She still keeps struggling to play cross at the end. It has to do with her timing. When the ball bounces she isnot ready with her loop and therefore is too late. That makes it hard to play cross and balls will go down the middle.

Why do you love the spin so much? these days it looks like, that much spin is not the way to go!! sinner, alcaraz, medvedev etc...
@icyolives Жыл бұрын
Sinner’s backhand has the most average topspin on the ATP, you can look it up. Spin doesn’t only mean slow and loopy. Those guys hit with crazy topspin to hit the angles and pace they hit and still have the ball land in the court, just not always high over the net.
@Hueho12 жыл бұрын
Referring to that the guy appears to be really very supportive and excited in this lesson (see other comments) according to his website he charges 5000.-$ for 40 min of a private lesson ( worked as a tennis teacher myself in the early days but for only a fraction of that money I would be even more supportive and excited than this guy) 😅😅😅 Final Note: from all the students he is teaching , including this very talented 12 year old girl- only a minute fraction, I.e.
