Hey, are you spying on my viewing history? I was literally just watching that episode of scratch to scratch yesterday 😂. But that's the thing I was picking up on, hey that's exactly what slingshot teaches.

These vids have helped me a ton. I'm half a year into playing and I play with someone who routinely participates in MA3 tourneys and he's been noticing how quickly I've been catching up. A month n some weeks ago we played shorts at a local course and I scored a +21. We played long to shorts last week at the same course and I scored a +12 lol. What's great is I can clearly see where in the form I can keep improving and keep bringing my score down and catch up even faster lol.

Dueded you made my year with this videos. I batted left hand but throw right handed. I havent been able to bridge the gap with the whole reach back. But after this video i was just going to town hit distance with way less effort. I bet after a few weeks of fin tuning ill be back on my way to 500. I dont know what i do hip wise i just throw like i would hit a baseball is what i was taught but the whole thing about breaking down the timing just clicked. Thank you for you content.

Working these and your other points into my backhand. I hit 310' and parked the disc under a basket with an effortless throw. I am timing shoulder and hips together, hoping to create that lag and find some more controlled distance.

Disc golf is such an amazin sport, and right now the understandin of the swing is going through a dynamic Evolution that is soooo exciting to witness. There's a handful of dudes posting that are on the cuttin edge, and thank you for your excellent video.

This is the secret sauce right here. Great job explaining it!

Your posture looks better than ever! It should be clear you cant slingshot without a posture supported by the obliques. That requires a whole body restoration to get for some.

I think that there is a feel to the moment of inertia of the disc that translates to all aspects of disc golf, including upshots and putting.

Been trying to figure this out forever, hard to do naturally/ athletically. Feel like I’m getting to robotic waiting for foot first. Any advice?

Completely agree. It takes practice to feel the timing but when you do your body doesn’t want to do anything else.

I completely agree with the timing, but disagree on the rubber band effect and the stretch reflex. I have a video that explains why they don’t apply to the upper body in throwing.

There is no rubber band effect. Muscles are not rubber bands

You are so wrong!!! I've heard both Mcbeth and Gibson say the peak of your reach back is at the same time your lead toe touches the ground. And you can clearly see tjat in thier form.
@brandonbecker4479 Жыл бұрын
I think the overemphasis on lagging the reach back is for the sake of teaching to not reach back before planting. I don’t think he is trying to say that the ideal timing is not to reach back at the moment the foot plants.

I live in AZ with Ricky, Uli, Ezra, AB, etc and I get more value from watching your videos. It’d be cool if you came to AZ and played with them and did form videos with each.

I just wanna know why you keep lying about Gibson and Mcbeth. Right at around 21min Drew talks about timing.
