Man, I have been struggling to get consistent distance with the traditional grip where it digs into the palm, and I just went out to a field and tried this and immediately was hitting my top distance with very little effort. This has been huge, with more practice I plan on implementing this as a permanent change to how I throw.

Just starting out, but glad I found this because I'd gotten the impression I wasn't really supposed to be crouching or loading the rear leg and butt.

When you drive in ball golf you are staggered. The only time you're parallel is when you're hitting mid-irons. You're actually opened up once you get to the wedges. So I'm in the boat that you should be staggered in the drive.

Hey. I'm somewhat new to disc golf. I'm 100% all in the sport! I'm going to do a disc golf challenge where I practice 6 days a week for a few hours a days. some days might be longer or for 90 days. I have a tech disc and 2 baskets in my heated garage. I'm a 43 year old that is in shape haha. 5'11, 168lbs so I'm ready to go physically just so you know my physically abilities. I'm am also more on the athletic side. I'm saying all this because I feel it will be a fantastic video series and to show 40+ year olds can progress and pick up the sport. I don't see any video progressions that show that. I feel 40+ people will get invested in the series and be great content. So I'm checking in a few youtubes that I like and I feel I would work well if you want to be apart of this. I would want some coaching and I would be recording my progress however you feel is best and you can post the series however you want. Not looking for any kick back with money or anything just to help others..cheers

I'll be completely honest.. I've played for two years and started out throwing ~300ft FH and ~250 BH. I'm not a freak athlete, I'm out of shape, I do not throw with a power pocket, and my form and footwork are atrocious but I've hit over 70mph and 500ft on the tech disc which is why I think there's another aspect missing in the distance formula. My regular golf shots go anywhere from 340ft to 440ft and my max distance shots push anywhere from 350ft to 530ft (on flat, minimal wind) depending on how I get ahold of the disc. Backleg is not straight. So I think you're onto something, there.

This is a side hand throw… You have yet to show a true back hand form… you start forward and you don’t start your throw 180 degrees from your target… you turn 90 degrees and throw sideways… I would call this incorrect form and terminology. You should be calling this the side hand. Not as powerful as a true back hand. Ace in the hole

Like it....just played with less force on release, and distance was not that different...Really like your thinking on being loose.....the body must become the power, not the arm....I'm old, just new, and 170 is my best to date....Muscle memory and form are such important issues...but, your words...loosen your self up make sense....caddy shack movie..."be the ball"...thanks for this..

In the first video McBeth stays on his toes and doesn't shift his weight to the heal until right before his back foot toes are pointing towards the target. I never noticed McBeth is sliding his front foot into position and holds it. Great footage!

Been watching your videos for the last few years, your perspective has helped me gain a different understanding of form that I have been longing for. I have been injured the last couple of years so haven’t been playing nearly as much as I would like. Thank you for continuing your content. As I rebound from setbacks, I hope to implement these techniques to my game.
