Hi Tim ... Re: 18:08 (assist tug sliding up the barge a little bit) "the further he comes up the less the barge will be coming at him". Good explanation of what was needed for the assist tug to safely maneuver away ... every video has these little gems of information. Interesting / educational / calming video as always. Stay safe. Even when it’s the same place with a barge that is similar with the same boat it can never be the same. This is why “making it LOOK easy” is the best accolade anyone can get. A crew that is a team, an assist tug who works with you and you give them respect that comes with knowledge and experience. All this makes it a pleasure to watch. Both companies should get something positive out of these videos.

17:45 - There's one thing that has always confused me about this location. The thing in the background just to the right of the assist tug. From a satellite view, the part on land looks like a storage yard for recreational boats and trailers, but the part on the water looks like a cross between a marina and a dock covered in huts and shanties. And, the whole thing seems to be surrounded by the pipes, a field of pilings from an old pier, and a collection of several sunken ships to the point where it looks like they couldn't get in or out. The only path I can think of is threading their way past the wrecks and to that section where the pipes elevate, but would they really have people driving under the pipes?
@TimBatSeaАй бұрын
Thank you for watching. It is a small boat marina. The pipeline has an area that is raised to allow small boats under it. CUOTO

Hey Tim nice job getting out of there, lucky you didn't have an audience watching. The paint job was something on the assist tug, she looked a bit like a light ship with the tower. Sunday afternoons on the upper Thames brings out the after lunch walkers who love to stop and watch the boats using the many locks. Now some of the day/week hire skipper, well rope skippers. Can get it all wrong and get jammed sideways so a twist and pull would most times get unstuck. It was always handy to help the hire fleets as they also sold diesel and they'd say a thank you with a minuets extra squirt.
