No pass required, the character's age never existed under the current canon. Its one of 5 million small details no one ever got around to changing on a website when Disney reset the official canon back when they bought the rights because it hadn't come up. Now its come up, and now its set within Disney canon. If they change it again you'd have a point. But yep, they can change the canon at will because they bought the rights to Star Wars. How much you care about Disney Canon or Lucas Canon or EU Canon is up to you to decide.

They didn’t need to change it before because it wasn’t brought up, just like Grand Admiral Thrawn was only really a genius in non movie sources, so Disney was able to make him horribly inept in the Ahsoka series. I just realized how deeply I despise the wardrobe for this show as well. Look at every last jedi wearing that hideous white and gold robe combination, like they're all employees at the Jedei-Mart, and then take a look at the prequel Jedi... Theres an obvious uniformity, right? Everyones got similar tunics, boots, cloaks and idk I guess those are like ceremonial pants or something, but there is a wide array of variation and individuality to be had. Anakin wears an odd amount of darker colors, black in specific. Kenobi is more traditional with kind of his cream and brown. Mace windu has like his own thing going with this almost pewter colored robe set. Hell, Aayla Secura looks like she's going clubbing on the lower levels of Coruscant! 😆 But this High Repukelic garb is just so hideous and uninspired its like they had a mandate to be distinct in some way from the prequels, came up with this ONE color scheme variation and then just used it for EVERYONE with no thought given to how boring that is visually to look at again and again and again.

Ki Adi Mundi and everyone else there don’t know about the sith. They think Mae is a rogue Jedi part of a splinter order, they acknowledge her training and derive that it MUST be from a Jedi because they are too arrogant to realise the possibility the sith are back. Mundi suggests they just tell the council but master Rwoh says no as the council would be obliged to tell the senate which would make a public mockery of the Jedi. This shows how far they’ve fallen and that the Jedi are more concerned with self public image then their duty to the galaxy, and that they are blinded by the dark side.

Ki-Adi Mundi's age is Cannon, not legends. Along with TPM merch his age was 70 officially. Even if you ignore the age change, that's not what fans are mad about. He shouldn't be there. He, or any of the council, shouldn't be anywhere near this. There is no point to blatently disregard and play these games with cannon. This show should sink below 10% for this episode and the horrible writting althroughout. Don't even get me started about how they painted it like Jedi have no regard for life because "it's returning to the force". So it doesn't matter if things die now? Why are you hunting a murderer? They are returning to the force, right? What does it matter? Brain dead understanding for script approval. If that's truly Filoni, kick him out. Disney needs to get the message, there is no fanbase for the direction you are taking things. There is no money to be had. Clear the team that wants this direction and start over. I suggest Timothy Zahn series. That's your only hope to bring people back.

Just some honesty people. Fans want a rich history of character they love. Amazing well written story without any agendas or DEI. They are also sick of the directors and Disney using fans as escape goats for bad acting and badly written story. I have seen Star Wars from the day it started in 1977. Tired of decades of Star Wars rich history being destroyed just to please a DEI agenda. After Star Wars 1 throu 6 it has gone down hill. And it just so happens that Ki-Adi's species have a lifespan of a regular human, which would make him well over 100 years old in the prequels. I'd like to see them try and weasel their way out of this canon fk-up.

The Acolyte is a cleverly disguised robbery of Disney. The official figure is $180 million for about 5½ hours of film. But for the most part it looks like a fan made film. There is not really any noteworthy talent working on it, they certainly did not go out to get the best of the best. Leslye Headland's wife managed to get a fairly prominent role on the show. Of all the actors in the world the showrunners wife suspiciously just happened to be the "best" actor for the part. They make sure to put elements in their robbery that they can use as a smokescreen of blaming racists, bigots etc. People won't see the robbery in action, they will be laser focused on this fraudulant ideology war going on Leslye Headland, her wife and whomever else is involved skim off a couple of $million here and there and no one will notice. Denis Villeneuve spent about the same amount of money on a Dune movie. He went out and hired the best people he could get. He went to Jordan to shoot scenes. It is very obvious that all the money is up on the screen. And if you add all the cut scenes, the new Dune movie would probably be 4-5 hours long. Disney got robbed.

5:11 she's acting like Yoda is an actor with a schedule and availability constraints, instead of a fictional character who can be inserted into a story at will. now I will grant that Yoda is *portrayed* by actual individuals who have those constraints, but with yoda's name recognition you do what Star Trek TNG did with their biggest star: you write their stories AROUND their availability. or if it's impossible you :gasp: *MAKE UP* a suitable character to take their place. you don't BREAK YOUR STORY (what there is of it) to put in a character who has ZERO BUSINESS BEING THERE and who ACTIVELY BREAKS ESTABLISHED LORE by his *VERY PRESENCE*

The Wookie Jedi Scene was probably cut for a variety of reasons. One it was probably badly filmed with all the various reshoots and directors each episode has. Two it made the already baked in plot of Mae joining her sister & the Jedi look bad if the audience saw her killing the Wookie on screen. As such i think they dropped that scene in last minute editing.

Disney decides to make a Star Wars serie, knowing that the majority of the viewers are likely to be Star Wars fans. Yet they completely contradict what is considered canon (such as the Force, the Chosen one, and now Ki Adi Mundi). Do they honestly expect that fans will be happy about this? If they are going to contradict and rewrite the Star Wars lore, then why even bother to call it Star Wars anymore.
