Bottom line is nobody wants to watch it. Whatever their reasons for not wanting to watch it, that isn't the issue. If you make a good show, people will watch it. If you make a bad show, they wont. Investors don't give a shit about these "issues", they will dump you if you aren't making money for them. Maybe try making a show for your audience instead of making a show for yourself and saying "it isn't for you!". If I were an investor I'd never invest in anyone that said something like that, I'd be guaranteed to lose.

There’s a great quote that I think sums up a lot of this modern phenomenon of DEI. “A person convinced(coerced) against their will is of the same opinion still.” I can imagine a male guest on the Ellen Degeneres show coming on to her. The rejection would be immediate and anything but friendly. Maybe polite, at best, but a firm rejection, which she has a perfect right to do. We humans have an entire objective and subjective list of characteristics and situations that determine who we want or invite into our lives. Some are very overt: Male, female and/or all the other subsets of that which modern life has uncovered. Other aspects can be as subjective as “Hey-he/she (other) is just not my type.” It can be as specific as the shape of their face, color of hair, feet or weight or sense of humor, personality. This whole new idea of “You WILL like and include me because I say so!”, goes against the entirety of the collective human experience and existence. And the same goes for the shows and entertainment we want to watch and our collective opinion of how they do or don’t relate to us and our life(lives) experiences. As for the rejection of so many of these “woke” DEI fantasies, the truth is not necessarily what they would like it to be. Nor is their fantasy that it is only a vocal minority. And just as Ellen would have a right to say “Thank You but No thank you” people have the absolute right to say the same to these shows on the same basis. Shall we go back and rewrite all the history of literature and music to please these self appointed DEI would be masters of morality? The hypocrisy is breathtaking!
