I am 30 years old and chose an arranged marriage over a love marriage even though I was in serious relationships. But in India the diversity is too much so culturally , socially and mentally both parties should match. Which in case of western countries either people are christian or athiest and pretty much share the same culture and mindset. So in our country it is not just 2 people coming together it is 2 families coming together. Imagine a south Indian marrying a Haryanvi. No matter how progressive you are in thought it gets difficult when it comes to the whole family.
