Thanks so much for the advice, I been looking for hours about the best way to conduct a refinement meeting however after watching your video I believe I don’t have to find a specific process just do it, learn and adapt to my situation

well you mentioned there are 5 activities. which ones if "refinement" isn't one of these I only get 4 and that would mean that the scrum guide was wrong?
@ScrumMastered7 ай бұрын
@themillionhair, there are 5 Sprint Events: the Sprint itself which is the container for other events, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective. All this information can be found in the one and only Scrum Guide at scrumguides.org/

This is a problem my team is facing now. We are trying some approaches do handle. Our target is to have 2 upfront sprints refined and ready to be built by team. The main point here is who to involve in this refinement, just the PO or the entire team, what do you mean? Thanks a lot for wonderfull content. I really appreciate
@ScrumMastered2 жыл бұрын
Hey Carlos, in terms of who should attend, I'd say it depends on what you are refining. For example, a couple of developers from the team might want to discuss some technical details of a particular item in the backlog. It might mean that the PO doesn't even have to be there. On the other hand, it might be the PO who wants to get some additional information from someone specific from the team (say they want to understand some specificities of testing for this feature). The team might also need someone outside of the team. Say they are discussing an item and they realise that it would affect another team's product. It means it would make sense to invite a representative from the other team into a backlog refinement discussion. Or maybe the team is unsure how to integrate this feature into the current architecture, so they want input from the chief architect.

Im. Senior product owner. Backlog refinement is definitely one of them. This is misinformation

@ParkourRhett, I'm a Professional Scrum Trainer, licensed by the Scrum.org to teach Scrum. Backlog Refinement IS NOT a Scrum Event. You can verify this in the official Scrum Guide at scrumguides.org
