Hi people ! So I’m into my second year on a WH Visa in Australia . By August 2020 I’ll have around 8,000 bucks AUD . Is this enough to book flight to New Zealand , insurance etc and all the main spending factors . Conversions strike me a bit .
@NZPocketGuide5 жыл бұрын
1000AUD = 1060NZD so pretty much the same amount. You should have enough money to take a trip to NZ if you take a cheap local insurance (see our tips here -> www.backpackerguide.nz/medical-travel-insurance-for-new-zealand/) and get a good deal on your flight.

Thank you for the helpful information! I have a random question, my boyfriend has both a Spanish and Mexican passport and he would like to apply for the Spanish visa and then the Mexican visa in case the Mexican visa doesn't get accepted. The Mexican visa is slightly better in that it is longer, do you know if it is possible to get accepted for a visa and then cancel and apply for another one? Thanks

Hey Michelle, that is such a specific question that we won't be able to help with that. We think you should contact immigration New Zealand directly with this question so you get the best answer possible :)

@NZPocketGuide5 жыл бұрын
A lot of people do, it is really fun to be a long-termer in hostels, but many people also look for a flat (shared apartment) in the city they decide to work in. But it is only worth it if you are going to stay 6 or more months.

Thanks for the kind words Sophie! The answer is simple: Nope! There are no mandatory vaccines for a trip to New Zealand and as far as we know, there are no recommended vaccines either. How long will you spend in NZ?

I almost fell of my chair when you said that ”nz$5500 + plane ticket is probably ’enough’” never heard anything close to this crazyness. I would say that $3000 is more than enough to arrive with if you plan to shoot straight into the job market.

Feel free to have a different budget than the one we suggest from our own experience. Also, please refer to the minimum funds available conditions on your working holiday visa as most visas have a minimum of NZ$4200 requirement :) Have fun in NZ!
