I love the new outro music! I also enjoy how calming and quiet your videos are, it's very refreshing. I do enjoy seeing the different love hotels Japan has, but as an american the shrines and different temples are so fascinating to see! I lived in CA and went to Tassajura for four years in a row. I stayed about a week each time. I highly recommend it. I wasn't a Buddhist until I visited.

Me too! Many years ago a good friend of mine was practicing Buddhism and he is as special as the Buddhist way of life. My neighbor was also a Buddhist from Thailand although his desire was to be a Monk he changed his mind and returned to America after two years. I loved my neighbors, so very special.

The monk did a great job guiding you through the sitting and breathing training. Thank you for this lovely video. I find that during the tea ceremony some of the most lovely things are the quiet, the rustling of the monk robes and the sound of the water bubbling in the kama

Peace after being frustrated w a robot phone call, I hung up after punching my phone & this video came on!! Wow!! I meditated & made believe I ate lunch & breakfast w/ you! I also imagined myself in the warm baths . Thank you ! Now I’m peaceful & ready to deal w the robot call … again…😊

This is very interesting and makes me want to do this actually! I’ve always had a interest in other culture’s religions/ practices (having grown up in a Christian household) so who knows, maybe I’ll give other practices a try (seeing as I do have a bit of belief in the concept of ‘reincarnation’)

this looks like a wonderful experience, both calming and educational. I like that it gives you time to slow down a little. we're all always so in a rush all the time. this gives you permission to stop and reflect. also, i had one of those little zen sand gardens. it was fun to draw in but my cat kept getting into it, so I had to get rid of it. lol

Como uma budista do Brasil só acho importante destacar que antes de tudo é uma experiência espiritual, não turística. Portanto, as pessoas precisam reverenciar a experiência demonstrando respeito. Em alguns templos do Brasil algumas pessoas visitam os templos como se estivessem passeando em qualquer lugar. Não pode. Um templo é um lugar de silêncio e reflexão.

So beautiful 💕🐰🐰 Tea ceremony is so amazing to me, how it's based on respecting your guests and showing them everything you use to prepare their tea is cleaned first 🍵💖 I am scared of germs so I love that tradition 😀 The amazing space for meditation, and the choices of onsen, and all the yummy clean food! I want to experience this sometime in the future. New end music, too?

I was walking around Pearl City, Hawaii. Just so happens, I saw a Buddhist Temple. I decided to walk in. I was invited for lunch. There was a big table of food. Ah man, I had a big lunch!!! : - )

恵林寺さんが宿坊を始めたと聞いたが、映像ははじめて拝見しました。 ご先祖が出家した寺ということで、思い入れがあり何度か観光で行きました。 今は静かな寺ですが、500年前は大伽藍でした。 道からの参道の両側に、伽藍が立ち並んでいたのでしょう。 織田信長によって焼き討ちにあい、当時の快川和尚を始め修行僧たちも、 大きな当時の山門に幽閉されたまま火を放たれました。 そこで、快川和尚が織田信長の軍勢に言い放った言葉が有名です。 安禅必ずしも山水を用いず 心頭滅却すれば火もまた自ずから涼し (座禅をするのには静かな環境が必要とは限らない 集中して座って雑念を去れば、火の熱ささえ忘れて涼しくも感じる) 禅の静かな境地は、権力や脅しや戦争などにも、決して脅かすことができない それぞれの心の中にあるからである。 織田軍はいくさに勝っても、禅寂と気骨までは奪うことができなかったのです。

Zen is meditation practice to deal with human mind. Zen is Japanese word whereas Chan is in Chinese. Both are derived from Sanskrit Dhyana. Dhyana means to burn defilements which cover our mind.

In India we called it a Satwik meal..a simple less spice meal eaten by monks. It has huge spirituality
