Holy smoke... I've been watching your vlogs for awhile and when I saw Downeast Maine .... that is where I'm from.... I walked the coastal trail at Emerald point (Quoddy Head State Park) and I worked at Cobscook Bay State Park in the '80s...I miss it so much ... I could smell the salt water while watching this.... Because of this video my daughter and I drove 7 hours to Cutler coast (In the snow!) to check it out for the first time. We decided to hike the 5.5 mile route because of time. The views with the fresh coated snow were stunning. Well worth the 14 total hours driven from Central NH to North eastern Maine. Thanks for sharing!

Wowzers, that camp pitch spot was beautiful, the drone flying away from you both showed it off perfectly. Like you guys I've always wanted to visit Maine. I looked after the 11 - 13 years olds over the summers that I worked at camp, but had I looked after the 14 - 16's, I'd have taken them to Maine for a week. I've always been envious of those who were with the older ones whilst we took our campers for day trips to the likes of 6 Flags in Lake George! We attempted a trip in autumn 2014, but my other half's lung collapsed a couple of week before the trip and we had to cancel the whole thing as he couldn't fly (we did an epic 5 and a half week trip elsewhere in the US the following summer so it wasn't all bad!) I always really enjoy your backpacking videos, it definitely gives me a thirst for wanting to do something similar. Did you guys have to use a bear box to protect yourselves from black bears? Big congratulations on your anniversary, I loved seeing those wedding photos ❤️ I can not wait for Acadia National Park next week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't turn into the Smokey Mountains like you experienced last year!

I am shocked do you haven’t been to Maine! I just assumed you had when you were in the states working, but your explanation makes sense! You should definitely try backpacking sometime. It’s really hard, but it’s very rewarding, especially if you find a really cool spot with a nice views! We just brought the bear canister with us which you probably didn’t need, as we probably could’ve hung up food, but we like the canister. The Ranger had told us since it was hunting season that there probably wouldn’t be any bears near the trail. And thankfully Acadia was not a Great Smoky Mountains experience, it was significantly better!
