Backpacking For Golden Trout in the Sierra

I've been too busy to upload for a while so this one is from October. Now that it's been cold and snowing, I've found time to chill out and work on some videos. I went out with the boys for this one to catch some golden trout. One of my friends actually planned this trip so it was nice to not have to think about it and just go. This was right before the first big storm in this part of the Sierra so this area closed the weekend after we went. We didn't catch very many fish but it was nice to be out with the boys for the last backpacking trip of the year. This was also during hunting season so at the end of the video we met some hunters that came by our camp and got a deer. This is pretty close to a very popular overlanding spot so you might be able to figure out where this is. I don't want to straight up say where it is, but it's so popular that I'm sure you can figure it out if you try hard enough. It's a short and easy hike and even easier if you have a truck that can make it most of the way up. Thanks for watching

Yes I know this lake well, have fly fished it at least 10 times, always with good results. I may have caught and released Over 100 goldens from this lake. We also fish two nearby lakes for nice sized Lahontan cutthroat, after fishing this area we always stop in Bridgeport at Jolly Kone for a soft serve strawberry ice cream cone.

That's awesome. I missed a lot of fish but I'm not very good at fly fishing lakes. I'm going to have to visit Jolly Kone when it gets warm again and fish the Walker. Thanks for watching
