I love my crown 2 60, Ive carryed it 725 miles so far on my two AT section hikes, Harpers Ferry to Havover NH

Great planning and organization in anticipation for the hike!!!! Looks like Harvey’s pack was changed for days 1-3 on the trail. Is the new pack lighter? Just curious☺️

What is Harvey’s new pack? I’m pretty sure it’s an Osprey- trying to find it for my little one…I can find not Osprey Ace 38 online, however is it too much for a 4-5 year old? Harvey’s seems smaller than the 38? 🧐 My 11 year old has the Osprey Ace 50, it’s perfect & honestly will be able to use into adulthood if it last that long.

Harvey just carries his sleeping bag. And a few toys along with one jacket.

I do have a question. Why does Harvey have an adult sleeping bag?

It was hard to find a kid sized bag that was ultra light and warm. We chose a short bag and then he can grow into it, if it lasts past our Appalachian Trail hike next year.

We went with adult bags for the kids too. For warmth you can use a shoelace or piece of cord and tie off the foot box to fit his size so during cold nights his body heat isn't dispersed into the whole bag.
