The Bruneau-Jarbridge Canyons are where the Yellowstone hotspot use to be. The hotspot is stationary as North America moves over it. Follow the Snake River plain between the B. J. Canyons all the way to Yellowstone and that is the path. Also, I believe there is a layer of ash from that the B.J. volcano that is close to thirty feet thick near Vantage Washington in the Saddle Mountains. Crazy super volcano eruption that DUMPED a ton of material. Be cool to see your video about it when you make it there.

Doesn’t matter the season ever hike is amazing. Absolutely loved the shot of the darkening canyon with the light reflecting off the river

Awesome to see this one! My old boy scout troop would go from Pittsburgh to Kirkwood ranch over spring break every year. Love that trail!

This time of year just sucks overall, especially if you can't have a fire and it gets dark that early.
