Another great job Wiltshire Man. 42 years ago I sat my (then) baby son on that stone that marks the source of the Thames. We didn't think to walk along the river though, as you did here. Thank you, and your good friend Joe, for a very, very pleasant vicarious experience!!

Cracking video as always Sandy. A leisurely stroll through Englands green and pleasant land on a summers day stopping for a pint or two at the village pub, what's not to like. In patriotic British army desert camo too, good man.

Thanks for yet another beautiful film that reminds us who are trapped in London and other cities, that outside their urban bounds, England is still a green and pleasant land. Take good care of that hip. We need you to keep getting out there to open our eyes to the beauties of nature. Thanks again.

Those little rocks at the first bridge. In Canada we call them Inuksuk. Originally built to act as a guide used for navigation, as a point of reference, a marker for travel routes, fishing places, camps, hunting grounds, etc. I have one tattooed on my leg. Reminds me of "home" . Love this video. I never realised where the start was or the footpath whereabouts and will walk in your footsteps Sandy sometime soon. Cheers

Super video Sandy, glad the hip survived the walk, I have similar probs with right knee, shoulder hands and back, I put this down to heavy farm work, ie. Wheat sacks, then the slightly smaller Barley and Oat sacks, shovelling and stacking the sacks 3 & 4 high, then truck loads of Fisons fertiliser, Bale cart etc. fantastic work though, never been fitter, miss those days but, suffer from them now :) Good grief I'm 74 Monday 3rd. Cheers Sandy, stay safe.........Les

Lovely upload Sandy. You cannot beat the British countryside. You look to be struggling a bit with the hip. Get in and have it done. I had a new right hip at 50 and a new right knee last year at 55. Best thing ever. All the pain has gone and my life transformed. I am looking at purchasing a Himalayan so you are costing me a fortune! I am still looking out for the Wasp though, one day, one day. We also have a Thames here in New England, and is the usual spot for the Yale / Harvard Ivy League Heavy Crew Regatta. I saw a race once where the water was so choppy that the Harvard boat was taking on water over the sides, but they kept rowing! Yale had not noticed, and found themselves rowing like mad against themselves, as the Harvard boys had to get rescued and were dead in the water. Well, that's my Thames story, I'm glad you got out and had a good time. ATB.

fantastic stroll along the Thames and woodland camp. When i did it there was alot of coins left on the Thames head stone i guess some kind of offering. I just read this sandy - There is a long-running argument over the true source of the River Thames. The claim is based on the fact that Seven Springs is further from the mouth of the Thames than the conventional source at Thames Head. I was only just Seven Springs on the Cotswold way and i wish i had known i would had a look. Thanks for another great video. Richard
