Hi Keith, I come from a long line of country folk and got a bit of the gypsy in me too:) I do love our native land. A major illness made me embrace life and not let fear get in the way of things I wanted to do and experience and set me on a path to conquer and overcome those fears too. The last one is hopping on that bike and going for very long journeys overseas where they ride on the wrong side of the road and speak in a foreign tongue!

Its not a fast bike so don't expect to be tearing along the highway at 90, but if you relax into the ride its super stable and comfortable. and the 24.5bhp motor is very tractable and loves to plod. My two bikes never come out during the winter and stay covered up in the garage meaning I miss out when the weather breaks as it did for you. With the Himi being lighter, rugged and less expensive to repair if an accident occurs I to would take the opportunity to potter around the lanes exploring without fear of damaging the bike. I rode my KTM RC8 down through Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia using B roads wherever possible-even rode a few green lanes on it. Then took my Himalayan through Spain to France via the Pyrenees, back through them to Portugal, through Portugal and back to Spain. All on B roads and back lanes. Fantastic. Tagged onto a group of 6 french registered Ducatis on one 15 mile mountain pass, and was keeping with them until we started going up hill, which was when they slowly pulling away from me. Both trips made me aware of one thing though. Saw maybe 2 or 3 GS BMW's on the roads we rode on, but saw loads in the towns. Presume that they got there on the A roads and motorways. Love the Cotswolds, but at this time of year I much prefer riding here in Spain-sunshine and warmth.
