Desolation is my go to spot I used to take Horsetail falls in but just started the Echo lakes route. Great video keep it up. See ya on the trails.

This was mid-July. Ya, it's normally clear by then but with all the snowstorms we got this past winter, there was a lot left in the mountains.

@@btesterone1532 I head up there pretty often and its required, only 6 bux a night though. If you take echo in you will Defiantly run into a ranger. if you leave early and Take Horse tail and camp around Ropi Rangers don't often head down there. the permit process is pretty easy though and it helps keep the area up and nice. It also helps keep the amount of people from swarming the lakes. That said I have done both but I try to get permits.

Yes. If you're planning to camp, you need an overnight permit which can be obtained through recreation.gov. But you need to apply months in advance depending on the trail. Lake Aloha is very popular and fills up as soon as overnight permits are available. If you just want to day hike it, you can obtain a day use permit at the trailhead or Placerville ranger station.

Lol first, why do you sound so angry? Chill out and learn to ask questions less aggressively. Lake Aloha is massive, I filmed the lake from where we were at. So yes I filmed the lake. I'm sorry, I didn't film the entire lake for you.
