Backrooms Level ! (run for your life) Found Footage

Here is the first of (hopefully) many videos which I made exploring the Backrooms levels. This was inspired by Kane Pixels and his videos (credit to him for the Async logo/ lore), as well as the Backrooms Wiki. Some aspects of the video are not the most accurate to the specific Level ! lore, but I thought it would still be a fun project to show the ambience of the level. If anyone has suggestions for future animations, please let me know!

@@Bobert2314 so almond water is an essential tool for survival in the back rooms. Not only does it (obviously) give hydration but it can completely scare away many entities, restore sanity, cure backroom diseases, and give energy to allow you to continue a journey.

@@drax1152 Or, they can fling any objects at the horde. There are many obstacles in this level, like small tables and hospital beds. You can create a bottleneck effect and block their path to slow the horde down. Remember, they are many, you are only one, you can use that to your advantage. You are a human, and our main strength is our brain. Also, there are energy bars along the path, so you just have to put it up with running full speed, because as long as you keep track of what's on your path, you can keep going and make it out in a single piece. Man, I'm not used to be this optimistic.

0:07 If anyone is curious of what entity is that, they are called *Smilers* and are dangerously hostile. Especially when noises are made like what's happening in this footage. If you see one of them, do not point any source lights at it for it will turn aggressive. If you do have some source of light, throw it to the opposite direction to distract it and run as fast as you can away from the entity.

I'm not sure the lore or if there is much lore behind this specific level, but I think it would be cool if this level was PACKED with entities which would add onto the reason why you would want to run through this level. Another idea is that over time, the alarms get faster and faster and if you are unable to escape this level in a certain time period, the level itself and all things inside it are basically deleted from existence.

Actully you're not far off, the original concept for this level is 10 miles of hospital hallways that never stops and you have to run while deathmoths, crawlers, facelings etc chase you endlessly. There are a few supplies on the ground if you have time to pick them up and doors that have a small chance to open and send you to another level Once you reach the exit at the end of the hallway, the level will send you to a calming and less dangerous level and you'll never visit this level again

In actuality as soon as you clip into this level, you start getting chased by a horde of most of the common entities that exist in the backrooms. Each entity is as aggressive as they can get and they cannot be countered with almond water or other items. While running for 10 kilometers you will come accros obstacles such as clumps, trolleys, hospital beds, chairs and tables. There is a chance that an energy bar or a bottle of almond water spawns somewhere in front of you. These energy bars restore your stamina instantly. So even if you are not a marathon runner you can escape. You have a small chance to be teleported on the level ! each time you try to noclip and the only known way to escape is to go through the exit door at the end of the hallway, which will send you to a random level in the backrooms. Other rumoured exits are the various doors on the walls of the hallway which you dont really have time to check anyways. So far none have been reported to be unlocked. If you wont be able to escape you will die very painfully. Lucky for everyone though, once you get sent here once, you will never be sent back again.

This is top quality! I've been watching a lot of Backrooms videos, but this is easily the most realistic I've seen along with Kane's. The camera movement is completely realistic and not unrealistically smooth (especially since he's running for his life!). The sound was done excellently, totally felt the depth of the siren as it changed directionally when he came around the corner. And the CG was fantastic! That carpet and those lights at the end looked great! Keep it up my friend and God bless!

Probably the best version of this type of video made since the camera movement is actualy realistic and adds a nice sensw of panic Just one quick word in lore the level is full of entities so its a full horde that chases you but other than that everything is basically perfect

In a regular level. This is Level !, with the very straightforward name 'Run for your life'. It's a 10-km long hallway where there are red lights flashing constantly, sirens blasting nonstop, and a horde of entities that start chasing you full speed as soon as you spawn here. Everyone spawns in the middle of the level, and you have to run away from the horde. If you manage to outrun the horde the entire 5 km, you'll get to the exit, which will always transport you to a safe level, and the backrooms will never spawn you in this level again. From what I get, this guy outran the horde by a long distance, meaning he's fast as heck, that's why you only get to see a single Smiler, probably the fastest of the horde. If you spawn here, forget the rules and run as fast as you can, throw stuff at the horde, and avoid any Clump you may stumble upon in your way. Don't think, just run. Run for dear life.

@@W0LFB3AT5 You're welcome. Knowing how entities behave isn't enough sometimes. For example, you may know Hounds are dangerous and very aggressive, but if you get to Level 11, you'll see many Hounds act surprisingly tame, thanks to what's known as Level 11 effect, which makes entities on the level turn very friendly.

@@Burn_Angel so basically if you’re at level 11, you’re lucky for now? There’s certain rooms that I blurringly understand so far. Still learning. I’m gonna have to research further. 😅

@@W0LFB3AT5 Yeah, Level 11 is a _somewhat_ normal city. The landscape is really weird, like buildings that are twisted, and some even being fused together, but as far as safety, as well as supplies, you're good. If you're interested in learning about safe levels, check out levels 4, 6.1, 3999, and Crimson Forest, those are the most popular safe levels.
